This high-performance metalworking drill press from Jet will dramatically expand your tool arsenal without taking up much floor space in the shop. This 9-Amp, 16-speed device produces 200-3630 RPM simply unlatch the spindle box and adjust according to your intended application. A quick-set bolt will precisely stop the quill at a predetermined depth while a 3/4 HP motor keeps the machine churning. The 5/8 in. chuck accommodates an assortment of bits and attachments (sold separately) for other uses, including mortising, shaping, plating, rounding or sanding.

This is performing better than expected. I am drilling a vatiety of materials with no problem. Knife blanks; hard woods; soft woods; bored out a sheared bolt; Pros: The speed range is great, nice clean design. Quality construction. Near zero runout. Easy to square up. Nice sized table. Nice light. Easy to adjust depth stop. Easy belt change and chart. Onlyba little rattle in the lid when at top speeds. Cons: the chinsy lever to raise and lower table. The need for tools to tilt the table. Narrow base plate is tippy with out adding anchors.
