A solid high quality machine with good customer support. We purchased one 15 years ago for our full time metal shop, it’s still running strong. This new one will help us keep up with increased demand.

For the cost of the maching I would have expected more from Jet tools. Both the belt sander and disc sander needed some adjustments to make square. The belt sander table needed to be adjusted to fit properly and the bracket which holds the table in place needed to be tweeked to make the table square and level. The disk sander table was also not square and needed to be adjusting inorder for miter guage to be square to disc face. The disk sander table does not adjusted easily for angles but with time and practice can be overlooked. Big down side to the belt sander portion is that In order to change the sanding belt it is necessary to remove the belt sanding table completly every time in order to have enough clearance room to remove the old belt and install a new belts. Once you have it adjusted and squared it is a decent machine. Was just disappointed that I had to tweek parts that should have been square from the factory not having to make adjustments myself. Overall give a B- just because of the tweeking required right out of the box and that you need to remove the belt sanding table to change belts.

Online order, item arrived promptly, was well packaged and damage free. Easy setup with simple easy to understand instructions included. Recommendations from the manufacturer for setting up the product correctly to enure efficient operation made sense. Instructions facilitated getting the belt running true on the system in just a couple of minutes. Unit has plenty of power for belt or disk sanding for most applications, 2″ belt makes access into tighter sanding jobs much easier than larger belt sanders. Good solid product.

The industrial quality belt sander has a Cast iron frame with good metal Ball bearing wheels and a decent 3/4 HP motor. The angle adjust on the cast iron belt table is rather poor making precise angle setting difficult but it works. The 8″ disc is Aluminum and so thin it does not belong even on a consumer grade product. The disc guard / frame appears to be cast aluminum and is OK but it is also the mounting point for the cast iron disc table creating a weak link for vibration damping to the base. The thin aluminum disc is very disappointing. I expected more from an industrial rated machine. The steel base is fine. Buy for the Belt sander and forget the disc. Buy a separate Disc sander with a cast iron disc plate and better table mounting.
