This is a very good bench grinder at a pretty reasonable price. Great for grinding and polishing metal. It has plenty of torque, so it won’t bog down like the cheaper grinders do. This is solid, well built tool that won’t disappoint and should last for many years. Bolt it to your bench and get to work.

Nice grinder of very good quality. Easy to finish assembly and has plenty of power. I really like the small diameter of the motor as it allows me to work larger items without having the motor in the way. It is heavy and well made, has cast safety guards vs stamped found on most other grinders. It “spools up” when you apply power and coasts seemingly forever when you turn the power off. No real vibration noticed when in motion, just a darn nice well made tool.

This grinder was worth the extra cash. Jet has always made great fabrication products, the 6��� bench grinder is no exception. I have a 6��� Ryobi grinder that bogs down with light metal use. The Jet buzzed through the same steel no problems.

So far, I am pleased with this 1/2 hp, 6″ grinder. If a heavy load is put the wire wheel, that I use a lot, it may stall but recovers immediately. It is very well built; the body and spindle housings are of heavy cast metal. I searched the net until I found this grinder at Home Depot; I was looking for a 6″ grinder with an Amp. rating of that usually found on 8 or 10″ grinders.I have given it 4 instead 5 stars as I simply haven’t had it very long- but a very good start! It runs smooth and doesn’t vibrate my workbench very much at all.
