Bought this unit last week- GREAT grinder(have been waiting for the stand-(Jet Pedestal Stand,#577172), unit goes together easy, make sure the screws for the LED lights are tight, I just set it on the work bench and it didn’t move. BUT with this stand- it is the best, I did not secure it to the floor but did put a piece of carpet on the floor after reading other reviews, the set up does NOT move or vibrate or walk around the garage, seems very solid. I did make sure the stand was level before I turned it on. Motor is very strong, that’s why I went with the 8 inch wheel. The stand weighs 51 lbs, very sturdy- it is not going any where. Ordered on line Wed. eve arrived today- Tues. afternoon! Happy with my choice.

I bought a 10-Inch bench top drill press that took up too much room on my workbench, so I purchased the pedestal stand to mount the drill press on. The stand was not big enough to hold the press, so I modified it a little. After building a base with casters, adding a few inches to the pedestal top, and mounting it to the base, it became a very sturdy drill press stand. The pedestal stand, in and of itself, is very strong and sturdy without any fabrication.

The table top is 10”x11”!!!!! NOT 15”X15” AS ADVERTISED!! nice beefy stand and better quality then most junk made today… it is heavy duty and nice but they need to fix the advertised measurements for the table top because it is not 15×15 as they advertise it.
