The heavy-duty 1-horsepower 8 in. Variable Speed Industrial Bench Grinder is engineered with a full casted body. This bench grinder is loaded with safety innovations. The exclusive motor stop will reduce RPM speed from 3,600 to 0 in less than 20-seconds bringing the grit wheel to a complete stop.

Good performance bad QC. I ordered the 8” variable speed grinder and buffer both had scratches. I ordered two heavy duty stands and one dust collector stand That had scratches / dents. I ordered the jet 80 gallon air compressor that I returned because of scratches. Made in Taiwan not USA

This Jet IBG-8VS grinder has been a welcome replacement to my old 8″ grinder which did the job but was really low in quality and average in performance. The ability to vary grinding speed has been of benefit and thus far I have not had any issues with its performance.Like others I too had to bypass the GFCI in order for this unit to work. As of this writing JET does not have a work around (to my knowledge). In my instance the circuit where the GFCI was bypassed the available outlets are not heavily used nor near any water sources so I was comfortable in simply removing it.I did purchase the light – it is NOT included – and it does the job though it seems a bit costly to me.
