The JET JSG-6DC Sander combines a 12 in. disc and a 6 in. x 48 in. belt to provide raw industrial 1.5 HP sanding power. The exclusive dual thumbscrew belt tracking adjustment locks to keep the belt on track while tackling any tough application. The sander boasts both a quick release belt tension lever and a quick lock dust cover for the disc. The built in handle allows for easy portability around the workshop while the included stand saves room on your workbench.
- 2-precision-ground cast iron tables have positive stops at 90° and 45° for sanding flat pieces or mitered angles; allows belt sander to be used vertically, horizontally or anywhere in-between

Pros: Good machine, lots of power, heavy duty, changing out the belts are vary easy and the belt tracking is excellent, cross sanding on the belt using a miter gauge, the belt does not wonder to one side or the other it tracks true, the 12 inch disk is a beast, the sander does not bog down on heavy sanding and the sander run very smooth. Jet has one of the best customer service department I have ever dealt with, the miter gauge was defective out of the box and one of the tracking lock nuts was machined wrong, quick phone call to jet and the parts where sent out asap and I had them with in three days time.Cons: The miter gauge has no way of adjusting the miter bar ( no set screws ) to take out the minimal play in the miter slot, the dust collection good be better, it needs two gate valves between the disk and the belt, one that would block off the disk and one that would block off the belt or redesign it to have two separate hose hook ups and I do not under stand why it is necked down from a 4 inch to a 2 inch inside the elbow going into the sander on the back and the same under the belt. Should be prewired from the factory 230v, to use it on 115v you need a 30 amp breaker and outlet, but converting to 230v is easy to do. Over all I am very happy with the sander, I have already replaced the miter gauge with a Incra V120 gauge ( I needed something that is very precise ) and add a rolling base. Note: My dust collector that I use with all of my woodworking tools is a Jet DC-1200VX-CK1 Dust Collector 2HP-1200 cfm which meets the minimum 450 cfm for the sander.
