This thing SUCKS (in a good way)!I upgraded from an old/smaller dust collector (Delta 50-179, 3/4 hp) that I had for 25 years. The old thing worked fine, but when I upgraded to a 15″ planer and an 8″ jointer, it just couldn’t keep up with the workload. That, and the hassled of emptying it out (big pain in the @$$) meant I had to find a better solution. And boy did I find just that in this unit. The new Jet DC-100VX-CK is a bit quieter, but WAAAAAY more powerful. It pulls every bit of dust and chips out of whichever tool it’s hooked up to. I have a long hose and a blast-gate connection on a Delta X5 Unisaw, a Delta 37-380 8″ jointer, a Delta DC-380 15″ planer, a Delta 28-280 14″ bandsaw, and a SuperMax 19-38 drum sander, and the Jet Dust Collector can easily keep up with any of them. And it does so much better than the older dust collector, which would allow chips to fall through tools and escape the dust collector, altogether. With the new Jet unit, there’s no “leakage” at all — NONE! And on top of that, emptying the chip bag is sooooooo much easier than the old unit. Now I clean it out when I “need to”, not when I “absolutely have to”. And the canister filter on top is so much nicer than having to empty out the old dust bag and throw it in the washer. And frankly, this unit is not very expensive at all — I paid $600 for it at Home Depot. I consider that a bargain, based on the enhanced dust collection it provides, along with the ease of use/cleaning.All of this to say that I’m thrilled with the new Jet DC-100VX-CK, and I highly recommend it !

This system was very easy to put together and easy to move around my shop, it’s really quiet and handles all the machines in my shop with no problem. It’s hooked up to my drum sander, table saw, router table, planer, plus a few other. After I started using it, 95 percent of all sawdust has disappeared from the shop and it’s in the bag.

Product arrived in perfect condition, packaging was very good. Instructions for assembly were good and took approx. 45 min. Once assembled, I was surprised that the vacuum was larger than I originally thought as my woodshop is only a bit over 500 sq. ft. Ordered a 10 ft. 4″ pvc reinforced hose, coupler clamps, dust gate for second port and IR remote; (you will probably need a 4″-2 1/2″ coupler and 2 1/2″ hose and attachment coupler if you want to hook this up to small power tools or use standard size bushes and such. To solve the space problem I have a small area at the back of the shop where I leave it and just connect the hose to the proper equipment; table saw, band saw, belt sander, etc. and use the remote for ON/OFF when I’m at the tools working. Very good power, reasonably quiet (80db), easy maintenance and clears the dust quickly, down to 2 microns. This is much better than the Delta unit I had for the past 4 years. Quality of materials is great and changing bags is super easy. This should last a very long time. Just be sure to order the clamps and hoses you will need, as they do not come with the vacuum.

I purchased the Jet 1.5 HP Dust Collector with Canister Filter just today. My first impressions were not good. First, after picking up the unit at a local retailer I brought it home and began unpacking and assembling. Soon I found the motor assembly was dented meaning a trip back to the retailer to pick up a replacement (fortunately they had another n stock). After resuming assembly I found many of the predrilled and tapped screws would not fit correctly. I managed to secure all screws but for a unit of this price, and expected quality, it was far more complicated and frustrating hen necessary. After several hours of assembly I powered up. Tomorrow will test the suction capabilities. Hoping for the best.

This new JET Dust collector is an excellent dust collection tool recently added to my workshop that has premier suction for handling all my dust collection demands with all my woodworking tools. ( i.e. Table saw, Jointer, Planer, Router and Sliding Compound Mitre Saw)

As a beginner I wasn’t sure what to expect but this works great on a jointer, planet and router table. And the router table has both a 4” and 2 1/3” port connected with a Y. Also using blast gates to separate the machines.

Love it. Our 20 old jet machine needed replacing so we purchased this new one. I was surprised at how much better it operates than the old one and it is doing a great job in our shop. The new filter system makes it easier to clean and the plastic bag system is so much better than the old cloth bag.

This is the 2nd Jet tool I’ve purchased and have had this dust collector for over a year now, luv it! It has great suction from empty bag to full bag and the canister is easy to clean. Changing the lower bag is a snap after changing once or twice. Was also easy to assemble. I also have the Jet filtration unit and it too, works great!

The Jet dust collector is awesome. I have 7 tools hooked to it with no problem. And I was surprised Home Depot offered it at a much better price than other local retailers. Win-Win.

Easy assembly and easily moved around but heavy construction and looks like it will last through my lifetime and that of my son who will inherit it. Now looking at their saws…

Easy and quick set up. No more dust in my shop with three ports hooked up.
Trystan Corwin (verified owner) –
Easy to set up, excellent suction, not too noisy. Works very well with auto power turn on system. Some side support for bag would be helpful.
Antonetta Shanahan (verified owner) –
Works like a champ.I’m not sure why it says “or 6 inch” in the description. Mine was two 4″ ports only.

Went together with only minor issues. Base could be a little bigger. Some screws holes on the fan were not tapped properly. I’ve used the dust collector a couple of times. It does a good job of capturing the dust and no dust escapes through the filter. None!
