Easy and fast setup. Solid quality product with an eye toward safety, very quiet running, clean and accurate cuts.I would strongly suggest a better more detailed owners manual including such information as how to determine whether the blade tension is too loose or too tight.This is a critical point in operating the band saw efficiently and safely.The Jet band saw more than meets my expectations and I would highly recommend it to all woodworkers.

Easy to assemble. Plenty of power for the re-sawing I want to do. Guides property adjusted and correct tension on the blade resulted in no band saw drift. Haven’t had a chance to put it through all it’s paces but it did handle re-sawing 6″ wide seasoned apple wood without a problem ( using TIMBERWOLF 105 X 3/8 X 3 TPI).

Easy to assemble and high quality workmanship. It’s a heavy piece of equipment and will require two strong and able-bodied individuals to move and assemble it. Very quiet but there is just a little bit of a shimmy from the motor, nothing that affects cutting accuracy.

Excellent quality Band Saw and at a good price. Easy set up and adjustments. If this is you first Band Saw make sure you adjust all blade guides Top and Bottom. I read through the manual and it’s a bit vague on the bottom blade guides. However, it’s still simple as they adjust the same as the top. I ran the saw through its paces, cross cut, rip, circles, curves, figure 8’s all with the initial standard blade and got excellent results. I have since purchased additional blades “thinner and thicker” for different jobs and cuts but this is just my preference. I also, made stabilizers to replace the two that come with the saw as I thought they where a little to flimsy for me but again this is just personnel preference. Overall, it seems to be a very solid, affordable Saw.

Great value for resawing. The 1 and 1/4 horse motor may seem too small but with a Lenox carbon tooth saw blade one can easily saw 6″ red oak. The blade is .025 width 105 X1/2 and about $170.00.Cast iron frame and table. Roller bearings as guides. Factory alinement on 14″ wheels needs no adjustment. Low noise, runs very stable. Great home shop addition.

As this is the first JET product I have purchased, I cannot vouch for extended use or reliability of this product but I will say that I am very impressed with the build quality and could bet that this machinery will be around to hand down to my newborn son. I have only used this saw on a limited basis between diaper changes and bottles but the few projects I used if for it did not disappoint. Strong and quiet motor seems more than enough to handle the hardwoods I have thrown at it. Weight of the machine reduces vibration to just about zero and anything I am feeling is coming from my uneven foundation I am sure, there are adjustments on the fabricated stand to fine tune leveling I just haven’t got around to adjusting.Very pleased with my purchase!
