Obviously, it’s easy to use, and lets you set posts for plumb in both directions. It can also be used horizontally – not necessarily any better than a regular level at that, but if you’re setting a fence it’s handy to be able to use it for the posts and the rails without carrying another tool.The main reason I got this vs. the ones at the store was the bright orange color. It seems like very sturdy plastic – will survive any drops easily, though perhaps not if you stepped or it or sat on it! It also seems easier to read than the yellow-colored one they had at the store.

Resist buying one of these for many years but with the number of posts I have to set and the free shiping I thought I’d treat myself. Should have bought this years ago. Saves so much time,worked on the 4×4’s and the two inch metal posts I set,so far so good.

Better than expected. it’s big, sturdy and makes it easy to set posts. I’ve used it to check pipes and other surfaces when I have it out for something. Only cost a few bucks more than the discount stores puny one. Ordered online it came when expected and was packaged well.

I thought the rubber band was going to break as I had a 5 in X 5 in square post but it didn’t and it worked perfect. I used to level a 10 ft post before cementing – vinyl fence post. Leveler did the job and at a good price.

I used this level to level nine posts. It was very simple to use, and eliminated having to move a single sided level back and forth numerous times. I simply wrapped the rubber band around the level and the light post, and kazaam, the light post was quickly level. Don’t bother with stringing the rubber band through the hole inserts in the level. Just wrap the rubber band around the level and the post. This was a great bargain for only five dollars.
