Good, positive locks for the sliding sections. Easy to read. I especially like the dual marking system: feet/inches on yellow background on one side; feet/tenths on white background on the other side. Markings are very easy to read. The rod sections extend smoothly and solidly. I’ve had the rod for a couple of months, but haven’t used it yet…it’s winter. However, I’m a civil engineer, and have done a fair amount of surveying in my time. This rod is very nice. I look forward to putting it to use this spring.
