With care, the stability of the extended tripod is nearly as good as its shorter cousins. If you’re doing high-precision work (1 mm per 100 meters), it may be a bit loose, but this is an extreme which most people won’t run into.

Great product for price point. Most comparable tripods are double the price. The plastic cap on the top for shipping screws off with side knob. Didn’t realize that and scratched it up a bit trying to pry it off.

We got this to hold the Dewalt 3 beam laser line level, which after getting the adapter for the Dewalt item, worked out perfectly. Stable platform, with the adjustable table and legs was perfect for what we needed it for.

This is an high quality tripod with a geared mounting stud and folding elevation crank handle. I do most of my work indoors but have used it outside on sloping ground without a problem. I do not know how stable it would be at full extension with a light breeze, but on a calm day the laser was solid.the ‘rubber’ feet are just pieces of clear tubing that slip over the spikes
