Laser was a little dim in the direct sunlight but otherwise a great tool. Maybe because it is an older model we were using. But it cut the time it would have taken to level the porch by snap lines, string, and hand tools.

Easy to use use. I have used it for patios, sidewalks, decks and painting jobs around the house.

I have used professional models and although this is more geared to the home owner than a commercial application it is an excellent unit that is very accurate.

Bought this for my husband for Christmas. He is a finish carpenter and is familiar with how to run these things. He keeps telling me he thinks this was a supper value and is so thrilled that I bought it. He usually takes back things that I buy him. ….BUT NOT THIS GEM!!!!!!!! I finally bought him something nice.

This is a great laser and great value for the price. I own a more expensive product from years earlier, and this unit is much better than my original laser.

I agree with some other reviewers. Some of the accessories are a little on the cheap side, but will be fine for many years in my homeowner use. Overall, this is a good product at a very reasonable price. I have only used it a few times, but it was calibrated very well out of the box, and everything works just the way it is supposed to.

This works great. The case is a littler bigger than I would like but is is nice to have everything when you go to a job. I have paid for the laser is one week with its usefulness. Hung a drop ceiling, had the bracket I needed in the case to hang off of the track. Hung some chair rail used the tripod. Framed up a wall no problem with the vertical setting. Great laser for the price. Can’t imagine not having it in my toolbox.

The lazer was easy to set up and understand how it works. The accuracy was just fine and the price well below it’s competition.

This complete laser level setup saved me a bunch of time versus using a water level to set up batter boards for building a concrete block foundation for my house addition. It didn’t take any time at all to set up.The night before, I calibrated it according to the directions from inside the house. The unit was dead on in the X axis at 25′, and within the 1/16″ tolerance in the Y axis. Good enough. When I set it up outside on the included tripod, I placed the X axis in the longest direction I needed to minimize any error. It was a simple matter to align the detector on the grade stick where I needed it. I placed the grade stick on the existing foundation, and moved the detector until it gave me a solid beep. Then I simply walked around and marked a line at bottom of the grade stick onto each stake I had pounded in the ground. It took just a couple of minutes and all those marked were perfectly level with the foundation! The only thing I was disappointed to see was that the detector that comes with this kit is of lower quality than the other kit you can purchase for this laser level that does not come with tripod and full case. While it works OK, it’s not as nice as the other detector available through Johnson Tool. I may sell this detector and purchase the better one alone. The tripod was sturdy enough for my needs. It’s not indestructible, but should last indefinitely if taken care of.

Yes this is one of the most economical self leveling rotating laser levels on the market but it needs to be calibrated to be accurate and that”s the issue. The calibration screws are hidden deep inside the body and they don’t provide a screw driver or any tool to adjust the screws. The access holes are tiny and none of my screw drivers where narrow enough to fit in the holes. I actually had to modify (grind) a screw driver to fit in the holes. Once it was calibrated it seemed to work fine.Maybe this issue is why it”s less pricey that other units out there. But good lord! provide the tool for calibrating the thing.

Does the same job as the more expensive units. We have only a had it a couple of months and only used it a couple of times therefore Longevity is the only variable that remains to be determined.

Works great and wonderful product. I have been leveling a place to build a new building worked great. If you rent one for ($40) a day it don’t take long to pay for itself.
