3-Dot lasers are the most common dot laser, and for good reason. In most framing applications, these lasers can replace levels and plumb bobs, and are great for plumbing walls, checking floor level, transferring reference points from floor to ceiling, and leveling posts and beams, and setting drainage slopes.
- Projects 2 plumb dots and 1 level dot
- Tall profile for clearance of wood or metal drywall track
- Locking compensator protects pendulum during transport
- Visual out-of-level indicator
- 1/4″-20 tripod thread for use with most common tripods
- Dust resistant construction
- 40-6646 Includes > Laser, 2 “AA” alkaline batteries

Good laser level for the price and works well on a horizontal surface. Has no storage case which is not an issue with me. Does have a threaded insert on the bottom for a tripod mount. Had a Bosch level which had a few more features and a case and more compact, but I accidently left the batteries in it for a long time and it corroded the insides. So I wanted to spend the least amount of money and got Johnson level which I feel is very comparable to the Bosch unit I had which I payed quite a bit more. Remember always take the batteries out of anything your not going to use for awhile.
