This is my second Kalorik 7-cup kettle. During this time of shortages, I decided to purchase a back-up should it stop working. I purchased both from Home Depot. I’ve been using the first one 4 years without incident. The heating features this kettle has can be found on higher priced kettles. If you are a serious tea drinker you know that heating temperature matters regarding taste. This kettle provides that. I use vinegar to clean the kettle, as my home has hard water, even though I filtrate. And the mesh screen filter on the spout catch the last bit of deposits. I love this kettle for the price, features and performance. Before this kettle, I had to replace my electric tea pots every 2 years. The colored lights are just a visual plus!

It works really fast, the only question is after using it twice the metal surface in the bottom of the kettle it looks to be deteriorating,you can scratch your fingernails over the spots and it has divots in it in places
