Of all the new electric Tea Kettles I have tried and returned, I like this one the best so will keep it for now. However, I would be happier if it were a little wider and shorter. You see, when the kettle is FULL and one attempts to pour the hot water into a cup, the base of the kettle hits the kitchen countertop, and the spout is 7 inches over the cup. One must have good aim and pour slowly. The old electric tea kettle I had for 28 years was wider and shorter, so the spout was 3 inches over my cup and the base never hit the countertop while I was pouring.Otherwise, the heating time is good and the temperature of the water is reasonably accurate. The buzzer could be a little louder, especially if there are other people in the room and music is playing.
