I purchased the Kapro laser target to help with measuring the corners of my proposed house. I had wooden stakes driven into the ground and it does help to have this since it provides a more reflective surface (and a larger surface) from which the laser beam will return. It doesn’t help during the day with the bright sunshine because the laser I purchased will not provide a return at more than15-20 feet due to lack of power. The Target does have a small magnet on the back side, near the top, acts like a small “L” bracket, for attaching to metal surfaces. But if there is any wind then it falls off of a wooden stake driven into to the ground very easily. One would need to have a large rubber band or thin long strip of velcro to wrap around it to help hold it in place. It is relatively inexpensive so anything to help with these tasks is good to have.
