This compact cast level with our Patented Plumb Site vial accomplishes what a standard 2 vial torpedo level our 1-vial works in both planes. Need to make sure your perpendicular pipes are square the 2 V-groove read surfaces on this tool allows the tool sit securely on many round surfaces and giving you a hand free to adjust the pipes. Metal pipes no worries the powerful rare earth magnet inside each V-groove will create a secure hold you probably will have both hands free. The solid cast body will give you a long lasting tool.
- Patented plumb site dual view vial lifetime warranty on vial
- 1 solid acrylic block vial works in both horizontal and vertical positions
- 2 finely milled surfaces with V-grooves
- Rare earth magnets on each of the 2 milled read surfaces with V-grooves

This small magnetic level is a very handy tool in my steel fabrication shop. The magnets are strong enough to keep it in place on round or flat steel. The view window to see the level bubble from a 90 degree angle is a very nice feature. I tested the accuracy of the level vs. a very expensive larger level I have and it was right on the mark. The small size makes it easy to get a reading in tight areas. I didn’t know I needed this and now I use it all the time. Good tool.

I use it as a small square for tiling my shower threshold and niche, with level and viewing eye built in work out even better

UNIQUE LEVEL; QUALITY a CONCERN — The Kaypro 4 in. Cyclops Magnetic Cast Pocket Level is unique in that it does with a single vial what a typical torpedo level does with two vials. Its handy size and weight allow it to fit easily into a pocket for convenient portability. The rare earth magnet on one side does not line up with the pipe groove on that size (see the photo). In most cases this discrepancy will not cause a problem but it may give a negative impression about the quality of the product. The level did not agree in accuracy with my other levels but it came close. It would have been helpful to have had a hole in it for ease of hanging up when not in use. It is great for metal pipes but most pipes today are not metal. Because of its size and portability, it is probably a useful tool to have on hand.

This cast pocket level is one of the coolest tools in my arsenal. I got it two hours ago and have already used it on a number of items. It came nicely packaged FeaturesOne plumb site dual viewRare earth magnets on each milled surfaceTwo surfaces with V-grooves ideal for pipesDurable cast aluminum bodyAccuracy Horizontal 0.5 MM/m Vertical 0.75mm/mYou are able to see vertical and horizontally if things are plumb. This product would be useful for anyone in any trade of construction using metal framing.

This level is small in size but big on features. The two rare earth magnets on the milled sides are very strong and firmly hold the level to any metal surface. The magnets are even strong enough to hold the level to a wood surface by attaching it to a nail head. The large window allows you to easily see the bubble and the window on the side lets you view the vial from the top if you are using the level in a tight space. There are V grooves milled into 2 sides that allow you to easily align the level on curved surfaces like pipes or dowels or even on outside corners. The aluminum housing seems very durable and is lightweight. It easily fits in a tool pouch or even your pocket.

This is a very high quality magnetic level. It has both a vertical and horizontal level and is magnetic on 2 sides. It also is concave on the two magnetic sides in case you are working with pipes. I like the weight of the level, it has a quality feel about it. I like the viewfinder window for one of the levels, and I like how it feels in your hand when using it. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a small level to work in close quarters.

The KAPRO Cyclops level is an interesting concept without much practical application. The manufacturer’s information talks about it use on pipes utlilizing the magnets, however metal pipes are almost non-existent in modern construction. The only real plus about this level is its size, yet a small level has limited application. The manufacturer calls this a 4″ level which is the diagonal measurement of the tool and completely inconsistent with the way other levels’ sizes are described. The rare-earth magnets are super strong but with the level I received the groove in one of the magnets is out of line with the groove in the level body. If you need a small level, as an instrument this is a good choice to be used as a standard level.

. A great addition to my collection of levels. The most important characteristic of any level is accuracy. I tend to check my levels very frequently for accuracy and this one is right on every time. But the thing that makes me love this one is the sight window on the front of it. Sometimes it is very hard to see the bubble on a level in some weird positions especially with my tired old eyes. This one makes it easy to see in any position.

This is a handy little level. It only has a single bubble vial, but it has two machined faces at right angles so it can be easily used to check level (horizontal) or plumb (vertical). The built-in mirror is a nice feature that makes it easier to see the bubble in some situations where it would be otherwise difficult. It feels and looks solid and well made and the strong magnets on both machined surfaces hold it firmly in place on steel surfaces. It is listed as a 4-inch level, but it is really only 3-1/8 x 2-1/2 inches. That is not a problem for me, but with any such short level such as this you should check at several points along the work piece surface if absolute plumb or level is important.

This is a great pocket level for installing electrical conduit for verifying parallel or perpendicular alignment. It has built in v-groove earth magnets that make it easy to attach to ferrous metal and allows the user to use both hands for securing the object more easily. This is not a level for all uses but is perfect for certain jobs that require aesthetic appearance.

Kapro 4 in. Cyclops Magnetic Cast Pocket Level is a great addition to your toolboxIf you’re reading about this Kapro 4 in. Cyclops Magnetic Cast Pocket Level (Model # 846-D), you probably already have several levels, from small, 6-12” models for leveling pictures, to 4’, 6’, or 8’ for larger projects and framing. But they’re all inherently the same – a straight bar with spirit bubbles. This one is different in ways that make it really helpful in special cases:It’s magnetic on two sides, and it really sticks! In the pictures it’s stuck to a refrigerator and a steel I-beam in the basementThe magnetic edges have a deep “V” groove that allows it to sit squarely on a pipe or other rounded surface. This would be great for setting chain link fence postsIt has a mirror inside that allows you to see the spirit bubble through the edge of the level (refer to the “edge on” pictures, and look at the large arrow pointing to the view port) In addition the cast aluminum housing is very sturdy, and it’s small enough to stuff in a pocket or a tool pouch. Probably the only thing it’s missing is the 45 degree angle bubble that a larger 3-bubble level would have. But that’s hardly surprising given the size. You won’t be abandoning your trusty old levels, but when you need it, this one will be really handy to have.Note: We received this item free from Home Depot’s “Seeds” program. Level does as it should, works great. My only question to manufacturer is the quality of finish on levels. I purchased 2 at the same time same part # and lot #, but the finish color is way different between the two. One is high gloss finish the other is dull finish.
