The KB Covers Final Cut Pro X Keyboard Cover for Apple Ultra Thin Keyboard is a keyboard overlay that features color coded keyboard shortcuts for the default keyboard layout of Final Cut Pro X. Judicious use of shortcuts can often result in a more streamlined workflow and easier memorization of commands.
On the cover itself, editing keys are color coded and heat fused for ease of use and durability. The cover is made of durable, ultra-thin silicone and designed to resist slipping or sliding while in use. It has a silky smooth feel, so as not to hinder typing. While in place, the cover protects the keyboard from dirt, spills, and general wear and tear. Since it can be washed by hand, it’s easy to keep the cover clean.

These keyboard covers are awesome. I have one on my MBP and use it with FinalCutProX and got one for my iMac larger keyboard at home too. Its great for working in the application plus it keeps your keyboard clean almost like new. Super fit, stays put and you can still see the standard keys too. Great product.

This cover is ultra-thin, and doesn’t slip around when typing. I hardly even noticed it was there after a minute or two. Keys are no problem to press as well. The only con I have for this product is that the actual letters can be difficult to find for somebody who doesn’t know a keyboard as well as I do. Still, this is a great product.

Perfect fit for the aluminum Apple keyboard with numeric keypad. The clear background allows for better visibility of the color coded keys. Key touch is just as sensitive as without the cover. Great value in helping to remember many of the keyboard short cuts in Final Cut Pro X.

In the cabinet, I still have a custom keyboard for version 7 (sniff sniff), but that wasn’t helping me with version 10 (i.e. iMovie Pro). The silicone-like keyboard cover fits perfectly and has been very helpful. I am not exactly sure why they chose the color lilac for one zone, but shy of that, it looks great.

This is an extremely helpful keyboard overlay for Final Cut X. I previously owned one from KB for Final Cut 7 and came to depend on it. When we made the switch to Final Cut X, this overlay has helped me so much to not only identify the new shortcuts but see the ones that didn’t change as well. The overlay is also comfortable to type on and doesn’t slip while you type.

I use it for video editing. This is my second keyboard, the first one was killed by a spilled soda. I will not have to worry about that happening again. This product also makes the keyboard more quiet and easy on the fingers. The only con is that dust and hair seem to stick to it a little.
