The RRT12 measuring wheel is ideal for road construction, asphalt and paving contractors, irrigation, telecommunications, surveying or any other long distance measuring needs. The wheel features brake and set on the handle for ease of use. The counter is located over the wheel shaft allowing for better wheel balance. The 5 digit counter is designed with a gear and shaft transmission for high measurement accuracy. The wheel folds down to 1/2 its size, locking the handle in place for storage and portability.

This tool is excellent. Starting with the handle, it goes up to your waist for convenience.No hunching over. The brake trigger on the handle worked flawlessly. The counter reset buttons set the counter to zero. The size of this thing folded, you can tuck under your arm.It’s as heavy as a well stocked lunch pail. Kickstand…piece of cake. I have nothing but good to say about this tool. Love it.

This convenient well designed measuring wheel will make long distant and rough terrain measuring very easy. The clever design allows one button folding of unit to store in a little over one foot area. The measuring display Is easy read and the reset button is on handle along with a finger activated wheel brake. Comes with a attached kick stand to hold unit upright when not using. Fully assembled just unfold and lock.

This is my first measuring wheel and I like it a lot better than a measuring tape for long distances. I measured the width of my backyard compared to the tape and I only found a half foot difference. The kickstand works great if you don’t want to bend over to pick up the wheel. Kickstand does not work so great in the grass but works perfect on concrete, carpet or wood floors.The brake is a nice little feature and the counter is very easy to read. After you are done using the wheel it folds in half and fits perfectly in my storage shed. The wheel is very lightweight.

I pulled out my 30′ tape measure and ran it the length of it and it was right on the mark. The kickstand is nice when measuring and then having to write things down. There is a reset button at the handle and at the counter. The trigger holds the counter and then let go of it and it starts again from where it was. Bright orange so you can be seen easily with it. The wheel turns smoothly. Pistol grip fits the hand nicely and comfortably. The handle folds down so it is more compact for storing in your vehicle or work box.

Works fine and is well designed. It is a bit on the delicate side, and really only one part is made of aluminum. It would work fine for a homeowner, or light contractor duty. It is accurate. I do like the reset in the upper handle area, instead of having to reach down every time. I am happy with it.

RE: 12 in. Aluminum Measuring WheelThis is a nice measuring wheel that has a good feel and weight to it.It has a 5-digit counter, will measure to 9,999′-11″. I laid out a couple measurements using a tape and the wheel measures fairly accurately.I’ve used a similar wheel for several years and one thing I will add to using these measuring wheels in general, only use them when 1-foot accuracy is all you need.It has a counter reset button on the grip, so no bending over to reset. Also has a hand brake on the grip.It has a great kickstand too that’s easy to set and release with your foot.The unit folds to half size and is lightweight.

An excellent measuring wheel with desirable features. The folding mechanism is secure, yet is easily unlocked. There is a wrist strap on the handle. The kickstand is a simple spring loaded affair, whereby the spring holds the stand either up or down as desired. There are two trigger levers on the handle; one for resetting the counter, the other is a brake. How accurate is it? Over a 120 foot distance, the wheel measured 3 inches more than my 100′ cloth tape measure. That should be accurate enough for most outdoor measuring tasks.

I needed a way to measure around the perimeter of my property for vinyl picket fencing….boy, this came in handy! It’s super easy to use. There is a meter at the top of the wheel, so no stooping down to read the numbers. There is even an additional lever at the handle to change the numbers back to zero. There is also a brake handle, right next to that one. This product is made with the ease of use as it’s number one function. It collapses, almost in half for easy storage. I double-checked the measurements and this wheel is accurate, for sure. The quality is superior, the value and ease of use is also wonderful and I’d highly recomment this product to anyone needing to measure, whether at the job-site or at home…I think you’ll be happy you’ve made the choice with this 12″ measuring wheel 🙂

This thing really is just the Cadillac of measuring wheels! So why do you want a measuring wheel with a larger wheel on it? The larger the wheel, the better it can compensate for changes in elevation over distance. A tool with a 12″ wheel vs. one with a 4″ wheel is going to be more accurate over long distances, especially if you have bumps and hills along your measurement path.Not only does this product have a large wheel for measurement, but it also has some other nice features that make it that much more accurate. I really appreciate the remote measurement reset on the handle and the trigger brake. This allows you to do stop and go measurements, turn corners or change direction, etc, all without having to bend over to reset the device and potentially move the wheel. Also, it has a kickstand! WOW! This is great for when you need the wheel to stay in an exact position, but need to pause for a while. Finally, I love how well this tool collapses. It doesn’t take up hardly any wall space where space is definitely at a premium in my workshop. Couldn’t ask for a better and more thoughtful design.

If you do any measuring over long distances, get this measuring wheel. Never again will I use a tape measure to measure distances across yards, long walls, or estimate for large projects. It doesn’t come with any instructions, but it doesn’t really need any. Just unfold and go. Two odometer trips, one handle brake, feet and inches, and even a kickstand. What else do you need? I like mine so much I feel like taking it with me when I walk around the neighborhood.

I use this product at the construction site to measure large areas accurately. This product is made very solid and sturdy and is still light weight and easy to use. For the price, it is a great little product. It gets tossed around and roughed up and still looks and performs great! The kick stand is great as it keeps it in sight and easier to find- I don’t have to worry about it laying on the ground and getting stepped on or anything, but even if it did, it’s well built and can withstand being roughed up.

I always wanted to purchase one of these and always put it on the back burner. When I seen this productI can not put it off again. It arrived and I had my young grandson for the week and had him operate it. It was very easy . No belts to slip and give false measurements. It has a pistol grip handle and folds down to 1/2 the size.sealed housing keeps out dust and moisture.

I would rate this measuring wheel as good but not excellent! Why? Over a distance of 100 foot I have found it is not as accurate as I would have hoped. I have a 100′ tape measure I use for fencing work. I measured 100′ of my fence with the tape, marked it and then used the wheel. The wheel was consistently between 1 – 1.5 feet off! That is a big deal if you want to use it to quote and order fencing materials. The positive is I can stand up straight and walk with the wheel. It has a stand to keep it upright. You can easily reset the counter. Good wheel just wish it was more accurate.
