This was a very cost effective solution to needing a BIG pot to do a boil in. Other than forewarning anyone that this is thin (top, colander, and pot) I would not hesitate to recommend it. I felt comfortable lifting the colander out with a second person, the handle was secure and the holes large enough to drain quickly. You can’t bang this thing around, but you certainly can carry it easily. Pay many hundreds more for stainless steel if you want a jackstand for your truck, but for straight cooking I think this pot is great. It seemed to distribute the heat well enough on the bottom but it is BIG at almost 2 feet across so consider having a larger and maybe multi ring burner to make it heat most evenly.
