Built with a USB 3.0 Type-A interface, which is also known as USB 3.1 Gen 1, the Data Traveler 100 G3 features read speeds of up to 100 MB/s and is compatible with USB 2.0. As an alternative to an easy-to-lose cap, its USB Type-A connector is protected by a sliding mechanism that covers it when the drive isn’t in use.
Kingston’s Data Traveler 100 G3 USB 3.0 Flash Drive is compatible with Windows 10, 8.1, 8, and 7 (SP1), macOS 10.10 and later, Linux 2.6.x and later, and Chrome. Protection is provided by a limited 5-year warranty with free technical support.

I bought 2 of these and I have another 3.0 usb drive. Both of these don’t even compare with my other. They have basically 2.0 speeds in a 3.0 port. You get what you pay for I guess, but I am shocked that I was let down by a Kingston product.

I wanted to use these to record TV shows on a PVR, but the buffer rate is too slow causing the timer to expire before the recording begins. Otherwise these are okay for data storage. I will try another brand to see if I get better luck.
