This was a warranty replacement for my other different model Kitchenaid coffeepot. I love this new model with these great features it has. The removalable water tank is much easier to fill and clean, the spiral showerhead is awesome, the glass Kraft does not leak from side when pouring a cup of coffee and the digital brew panel on the side is much better there…than in the front like my old one. Oh! And it has two brew buttons. One on the side panel and the other one in the front and they also will turn off the coffeepot as well. I JUST LOVE IT!!

I was unhappy with our CuisineArt coffee maker not making or keeping the coffee hot enough so I bought this one based on the reputation of KitchenAid. Sorry…..same problem. At least with the CusineArt, there is a switch to increase the holding temperature; not so with KitchenAid. So I have to put my cup of coffee in the microwave after pouring it in order to get a hot enough cup to last more than a few minutes. I do put a splash of creamer from the fridge into the cup, which I know cools it a bit, so it would be better to have the coffee start out really hot before that. KitchenAid: please think about adding an additional control to increase the temperature of the brewer and holder. Other than this problem, I really like the water tank better than the CuisineArt. NOTE: the KA does have a significantly bigger counter footprint than the CA.

Like that is no replaceable filter needed any more. Like that there is an “egg timer” indicating how long ago the coffee was made. Very nice feature.

My husband and I switched from a Keurig to a real coffee maker and did EXTENSIVE research to find that This one was best! It was a good chunk of money (at the time, 6 months ago it was more expensive) but we decided all the good reviews and great features would make it worth it! I’ve done the regular cleaning and about 3 months in it started to lose about a cup of water between tank and carafe- it couldn’t all be steam?? So I did a descaler and it went back to normal for 3 days and back to losing a cup of water. So I did it again and this time it worked for 1 use, so I did it again and it no longer “gave back” any of the water from that one cup. So, we were still getting coffee, I just had to account for losing a whole cup. (Which isn’t a big deal, but it didn’t start out like that?) so today, as I was making my coffee I was getting LOADS of steam for 1 drip of coffee. I put 7 cups in the tank and only got 2 cups of coffee (after and excruciating hour). BUT I DO think I figured out whats wrong-I think the pause to pour feature is broken some how. It is losing the steam while it “waits” for the carafe and drips occasionally. I’ve made sure the little nozzle was pushed up and everything. ITS BROKEN. we’ve only had it for about 6 months, maybe less – and it’s already broken. To the point of being useless, I’m SUPER sad it’s broken, it was a GREAT coffee maker while it DID work.

After doing way too much research, I decided on the KitchenAid Coffee Maker and I am so glad I did. It looks nice on the counter, brews an excellent, smooth cup of coffee and is easy to clean. I am happy with my purchase. I like that the water compartment is removable for easy filling, the reusable filter on the inside has markings for the amount of coffee you need depending on the size of pot you are making. I have had no issues with overflowing. The warming plate keeps the coffee hot. We are super happy with this purchase.
