After my old coffee maker made a mess on my kitchen counter, I researched replacements. I’m ex-Navy and I drink a lot of coffee and wanted a reliable unit. Saw what I liked in the KitchenAid 12 cup coffee maker. I prefer KitchenAid appliences as I have a 5 qt. KitchenAid stand mixer that’s been with me for over 46 years and has never let me down. I’ve had this unit a little over a month and I must say that I’m satisfied with it. I had to experiment with the amount of grounds to use as my taste for coffee isn’t compatible with the ‘guide lines’ of the grounds indicator. But that’s just kmy choice. One negative item about this is the condensation that forms on the showerhead lid and drains down the side and front of the unit when the lid is lifted to remove the basket. Other than that, it’s a great machine. I also like the ‘bold’ brew option. I haven’t tried out the automatic brew start yet as I usually prepare the unit at night before I go to bed and just hit the start button after I stumble into the kitchen.

My husband bought this coffee maker for me after my other one broke. Obviously, we use it everyday. I wish there was a way to turn the burner on after the 2-hour timer goes off. I understand that most coffee users drink their coffee in a timely manner, however, this mother of 3 sometimes gets busy and I can’t drink it fast enough. The biggest flaw is the fact the carafe is super fragile. Otherwise, I think it is a beautiful machine and easy to use!

It’s delivery – carafe inside box broken. Kitchenaid happy to send me a replacement under warranty – caution: kitchenaid do not have replacement carafes only (needed to replace whole unit – return 1st coffeemaker and broken carafe). Makes great hot and smooth/bold tasting coffee (can place frontwards or sideways on countertop – buttons both sides). Takes up a bit more room on my countertop than old kitchenaid coffeemaker. Love the grey colour- trendy and matches stainless steel accents in my kitchen. Thank you kitchenaid for making such a great product.

There are some improvements over the older design units which make it even easier to use. The removable lid on the water tank and tge visibility it provides to the water level indicator . We would highly recommend this unit as it brews very well , hot and remains warm for 2 hours instead of 1 with the older units.

We really love this coffee maker, however, the carafe broke. searching for a new one led me here. The comment below received a response with a number to call. Called the number twice today. First time I was on hold for 35 minutes before I gave up. Second time 15 minutes any other way to order a new carafe? Hoping for a response from kitchen aid ideally. Love the coffee pot though. It makes a lot of coffee and has great features!

I’ve had this coffee maker for almost a year now and it has been my absolute favorite one so far, but for the last month or so it has been making extremely watery and lukewarm coffee. I’ve used the same cool water and coffee grounds since I’ve had it so I’ve haven’t switched anything up to mess with it. Nothing we have tried works and the coffee is undrinkable and basically a worthless pot. I would greatly appreciate some help as I love the brand and this coffee pot was awesome while it lasted!

This machine makes OK coffee, but a month after purchasing, I broke the glass coffee pot and have been unable to purchase a replacement. Kitchen Aid does not even carry this important replacement.
