Water container removes easily, and basket with filter has handle to take out!Oh and you can set 2 program times, so 1 button for weekday and 1 for weekends.We received this as a replacement for our old kitchenaid and warranty and customer service were really easy to work with, thanks!

I have been through a lot of drip coffee makers in my life. ‘This KitchenAid drip coffee maker rates high as one of the best.’ Nice looking machine and well built. Some things I like about this coffee maker is it has a glass decanter and programmable hot plate. After using an OXO for 5 years (thermos type) – glass keeps the coffee hotter (hands down). Also, you can remove the water tank (nice feature). I have had a few machines develop mold (smell) after a while and this makes cleaning MUCH easier. Also, I use less coffee with the KitchenAid than other past machines. At first I thought the suggested grams per cup markings on the water tank were off, but once I stuck to their recommendation, my coffee was not too strong and tasted great. The fact that this machine has a slower brewing time is also a plus to me. Even though most people want “fast coffee” – the slower brewing process keeps grinds from overflowing the cone filter, especially if you like your coffee grounds a little finer like I do. All-in-all I am happy with my purchase – really nice coffee maker.

I received this the other day and I am very pleased with it. It was everything we were looking for in a coffee pot. It is sleek and modern looking has a built in plate warmer to keep coffee at right temp, has up to 12 cups and even has a measuring system for the perfect coffee measurement. The spiral head seems to make coffee better cause it covers all the coffee instead of running straight through. I could not be happier with this unit and would recommend it to anyone. I am in love with this KitchenAid coffee maker. My family drinks a lot of coffee so it is great having a larger coffee pot. I love how it is programmable and you have the dosage chart for the coffee grinds right on the filter. My favorite thing about it is how it keeps the coffee nice and hot after it is brewed by the warming plate. I am a very busy mom of 3 children and by the time I brew my coffee and get to drinking it the time varies. I can always count on this coffee maker for having a nice hot pot of brewed coffee when I am ready to drink it. I am a big fan of KitchenAid products and this 12 Cup Drip Coffee Maker was another great product from KitchenAid to ad to my kitchen appliances.

My favorite feature is it shows you exactly how much coffee to put in to make the perfect pot of coffee. I recently replaced my Keurig with this KitchenAid Coffee Maker a couple of weeks ago. Prior to receiving this, I was using K-Kups for the last 10+ years and said to myself “I’m never going back to a carafe”. This product has changed my mind.; It’s very easy to use, works great and looks awesome on my kitchen counter. This coffee maker has the option to brew up to 12 cups of coffee with either the included gold-tone coffee filter or your choice of filter. It has a spiral shower head which helps the brewing process by saturating the grounds and giving a steady flow of coffee. I like how there is a setting where i can choose between regular and bold strength. There is also two programmable settings to select a time when you want the coffee maker to brew on its own. The warming plate is nice because I can set a timer and also select the temperature (high/low). Since I’m impatient in the morning, I can remove the carafe during the brewing process, pour a cup for myself and it will resume brewing when I put the carafe back. All of the parts are dishwasher safe and easy to clean. The one change I would make is to the carafe itself; the plastic part around the top is not removable. This makes it difficult to clean by hand because soap gets stuck on the inside. Aside from that, this is an excellent quality coffee maker and brews the perfect cup. I would highly recommend it especially if you’re on the fence about changing back from K-cups.

Makes very good coffee. No bitter taste. Lid difficult to put on pot after washing. Maybe a better way can be found in the directions. Very sturdy. Coffee seems to cool off quickly after pouring not sure why. Much better coffee than old machine but old machine not a pour over. If water marks on the water tank were dark instead of light it would be easier to fill to propper level but not a big issue. Most important thing is the flavor of the coffee which is excellent
