I purchased this product for Christmas for my husband because he is a cold brew addict. This is exactly what we were looking for – it is incredibly simple in it’s design and use and that is my favourite thing about it. The instructions are very clear with how much coffee and water you need and how to get the best batch out of the recipe. It takes up hardly any room in the fridge. The grind on the coffee does need to be coarse so it doesn’t go through the basket – it does say so in the instructions, but I did need to adjust to make it coarser than I initially thought. All in all, I couldn’t be happier with this – and I do think the fact that it’s so simple makes it really stand out from other cold brew makers.

The Kitchenaid cold brew coffee maker makes tasty cold brew coffee, and it is so easy to do! I made some iced coffee using ground coffee and let is seep in my refrigerator. By the time I cam home from work, I had a refreshing glass of iced coffee, and I didn’t have to run to a fancy coffee shop to get it! The coffee tastes smooth and rich, and it is so easy to pour using the pour spout. I am looking forward to using this to make iced tea as well!

The build quality of this is great. You can tell it is made by KitchenAid. The filter is works well and The maker is heavy for its size. But the main issue with this is that the spout is at the bottom, which means that any fine coffee particles that makes it through the filter will settle to the bottom and make it to the first few cups dispensed. This means all the coffee has to be course ground, with no fine particles in order to avoid the coffee sediment. You would have to use a burr grinder and then strain out fine particles – which would be a lot of work. If you make cold brew with a French press, the benefit is that you pour from the top – not the bottom, as you would with this maker.

This is a top notch quality cold brew machine. I have been using a smaller carafe that was messy and hard to deal with. This Kitchen Aid cold brew has solved all my problems. First of all, it’s very heavy and made extremely well with nice glass and metal pieces throughout. I love the pour spout, and it doesn’t leak all over the place, and I can leave it in the fridge without having to take it in and out. I like that the coffee basket has a handle, making it so much easier to remove and dispose of the used grounds. The cold brew is nice and smooth and has a great flavor. This is an amazing cold brew machine. My only complaint is it is pretty large and takes up quite a bit of space in your fridge. I do wish Kitchen Aid made this in a smaller version or even a more narrow and taller version to fit in smaller spaces.

i’m really pleased with my cold brew coffee maker. it’s really sleek and clean, and makes some scrumptious cold brew. i’m fascinated by the filter, as i have no idea how they make the “holes” that fine. it looks almost screen printed. i can’t see my hand on the other side, but i can see through it if i hold it up to light or something. only the finest silt can get through that. anyway, long story short – works fabulously, and looks good doing it.

I received the KitchenAid-38 Cold Brew Coffee Maker and I think it is Fantastic. I read and follwed all instructions which are very easy to understand and do. The Stainless steel Steeper that requires NO Paper Filter is great. After adding the right amount of coarsely ground coffee beans and wate, then refrigerating overnight, this Morning I made an iced coffee and it was delicious. I also see you can make tea and a huge plus for me especially with the Holidays around the corner is using the Steeper to infuse some fruit in Vodka for entertaining. The Unit is also a great size for easy transport. There is no doubt I will get a ton if different uses for the Dispenser. Another GREAT Product from KitchenAid!

I was looking for an alternative to make iced tea without heating up the kitchen every time. Down south we don’t need any extra heat in the house. I brewed two batches. The second came out much better than the first after adjusting the amount of water. I will be trying out the cold brew coffee soon when my son comes to visit as he is a fan of cold coffee. My only reason for not giving this a five star review is the container is a little small, but that is a nice to have not a must have.
