Recently I obtained the KitchenAid 5 Cup Cordless Chopper. I want to start by saying I am not one to use mixers and choppers. I usually do it all myself, no gadgets. Well, not anymore, that’s for sure. This cordless chopper made making dinner so much easier. I like to add onions, peppers, carrots, etc. to many of my dishes. I spend so much time chopping away at things, by the time dinner is ready I’m not even hungry. Since I’ve been using the KitchenAid 5 Cup Cordless Chopper, it has really cut my preparation time down. This is so awesome as I love eating the meals, not so much making them.I love that it comes with a drizzle basin, to easily incorporate liquid ingredients while processing. It mixes and chops all in one, leaving less of a mess, heaven. Another amazing this about this chopper; it chops everything the same size. I’ve used choppers before where everything comes out different sizes, some really big, no good.Additionally, Cleaning the KitchenAid 5 Cup Cordless Chopper was a breeze. I love kitchen aid brand and I was excited to try this out. It took me a minute to figure it all out but once I got it charged good I decided to chop up an onion and it worked pretty well. I still had a few big chunks but I mixed it around and it worked great.

As I was unpackaging this item the first thing I saw was a cord. I had to do a double take cause I thought it was cordless. I thought it was going to be battery operated but the cord is for charging. I don’t use this everyday so I’m wondering how long it will last after I put it in the cabinet for a few days. I had a hard time trying to figure out how start this bad boy at first and didn’t realize you had to press the top to chop. Once I got it going I couldn’t believe how powerful it was but then again kitchenaid never disappoints. The size is perfect for everyday chopping.

This innovative kitchen gadget is a very welcome addition to the existing tools I use in the kitchen. Being quite short of space, and even shorter when it comes to electrical outlets, cordless is the way to go as far as I am concerned.It took less than the recommended two hours for the chopper to charge and, once I had washed and dried the components before first use, it was time for action. I tried chopping various foodstuffs including apples, onions, and carrots, all of which turned out great. You can regulate the size of the chopped item by pressing the on/pulse switch intermittently. This is located at the top of the handle. I also made myself a banana milkshake using the whisk accessory by adding bananas, milk, and a dollop of ice cream.The food chopper is not overly loud as far as appliances go and is plenty large enough for the types of food chopping I need to do.From a portability perspective, the food chopper is very light and is easily transportable from location to location. The benefits of it being cordless are obvious. I have the black and silver version which matches the other appliances in the kitchen.I need a new blender and a new hand mixer which are also available as cordless appliances in this range. Time to break out the wallet.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this right before salsa making so tested it out pretty good when I got it. I really like it. Loved the cordless. The only reason I did not give it a 5 was because when you filled it full , for example, with celery, it really ended up mushing it up instead of a small diced pieces because it took awhile for the pieces on top to get to bottom where blades are so over chopped everything.

This KitchenAid 5 cup cordless chopper is the perfect size for your average recipe, without having to keep filling and emptying the chopper like you do with the smaller mini-choppers. I have done onions, carrots and walnuts so far and it worked like a charm and is easy to take apart and clean. I also whipped some cream for a pudding I made and it did a great job with that too, using the whipping blade. Another plus is it’s not lhorribly loud like some choppers and blenders. My one suggestion – don’t fill the cup too much. I did that on my first try and it didn’t have enough room to move the carrots around so I ended up with big chunks on top and carrot puree on the bottom, near the blades. Once I removed some of the carrots and they had room, the chopper worked perfectly, so just don’t overfill it and it will work great.

We came across this KitchenAid 5 cup (which is 4 cups larger than the one we have) and it has been amazing to have! We used to have to chop all the ingredients one by one, but now we just toss it all in and it cuts down on our time tremendously. We’ve only used it for chopping really, but we have used it to purée some ingredients as well and does so without a problem!I highly recommend this for any kitchen!!
