We’ve been using our grain mill for about 5 years now… and not rarely. About 75% of the bread we eat is home-made and almost all of it has at least 50% freshly milled grain in it. We’ve done at least 200lbs of Red Fife wheat through this mill, not to mention the stuff that comes home with from Bulk Barn ;)The verdict: as good today as it was the day I got it. I might be better at using it, but it doesn’t seem to have aged a bit.Flawless, in other words. Well worth the $$.

Shhhh I don’t know I bought it for us yet. Ask me December 26. But, I’m sure it will be wonderful, as everything we have for the KitchenAid mixer has been so far.

I have always been a baker and used the regular hand mixers till they died. I am so happy with the Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer I got for Christmas last year!! My hubby is happy too because I have ventured out from just baking now!! I would love to get all of the attachments and eventually have a Kitchen Aid Kitchen! The only thing I don’t like is when I have something “chunky” it sounds like my mixer is going to “jump” off the counter.

Bought the Kitchenaid mixer for my wife to help with her baking. She loves it! She claims that it speeds up her baking time preparation tremendously. I gained many husband points. Thank You Kitchenaid!

Haven’t used it yet. It’s all metal. Still dismayed why it isn’t dishwasher safe?

My KitchenAid mixer is not made to do heavy jobs like grinding flour. The motor gets hot quickly.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) amazing! i bought a 25kg of wheat to make my flour (23$), i put it twin into the grain mill to get it finest, after i sift it twice and it makes an amazing flour. It takes about 20 minutes for 2 cups of grains (speed 8) to become 2.5 cups of sifted flour and 1.5 cup of bran. For the bread recipes , i just add 30-60ml of sugar to help it to raise.

I really like my Kitchen Aid mixer, but the only problem I have is that the motor heats up when used for a long time.

I just received my KitchenAid grain mill in the mail today and was very excited to try it out.First of all, the grain mill itself is a very solid product (except for the screwdriver on the back of the cleaning brush). To try out my new grain mill, I poured about a pound of buckwheat into the hopper, turned the dial all the way to the three small dots for extra fine and started the mixer on 10.The mixer barely turned the grain mill, but there was flour coming out, so I kept it running. Within a few minutes, the mixer came to a complete standstill. I instantly turned it off, but still had smoke coming out of it. A new product should not burn out my KitchenAid mixer!Once I let it cool off, I turned the dial two steps away from extra-fine and tried again. Now the mixer turned the grain mill just fine and I was able to finish my pound of buckwheat. Not sure whether I should buy an old used KitchenAid machine for my grain mill, so I don’t ruin my nice one. Or buy a separate grain mill.

My brother in law gave me this mill many years ago. We bake all of our breads and so we bought some hard red winter wheat and voila, flour. The mill is easy to clean and is as dependable as the rain here in NW Oregon. We grind flour and make all our baked goods about once a week and have been doing so for about 5 years. It connects to the Kitchenaid in a few seconds and is always ready to mill flour. I run it on 7 and by the time I have all the rest of the bread ingredients out and measured, the flour is done.

This mill is a workhorse! It does the job, and you can regrind the product if you want your flour even finer. So far, I have had no problem with it heating up too much, either. Nice tool!

I purchased this attachment a month ago and used it few times. I satisfied how it works. I have freshly ground wholegrain flour any time I want. I just realize I need to buy all purpose flour from a store anyway. All bakery products I want to bake with only wholegrain flour are too heavy.

I purchased this one and one for my son almost a year ago. Within a very short time I began having trouble. It did not have the power I expected and was very noisy. Called Kitchenaid and within 3 days I received my new one. Very good service. I use my mixer 2 or 3 times a week.
