We have had this set for the past month and are very pleased with them. I make knives and know the material used is top quality. The sharpness remains even after lots of use. They are on the thinner side in the handle but help with indexing the blade and are still quite comfortable. The scissors are very nice as well and will cut through bone easily. The steak knives are serrated entirely and would prefer a straight blade for dinner but they are very sharp as well. Overall hard to beat and I am impressed

I bought this set after having purchased a single knife which soon became the household favorite. These are quality knives, stay nice and sharp a long while, and are well balanced. With a culinary student in the house we are pretty picky about our knives, and for an every day set this is great quality for the price. I’m not in love with the block, it’s rather large because of the sharpener, and I wish the slots were wood, I worry that this will not be kind to the edges of the knives, so I may transfer them to a block I have, but I’m thrilled with the knives themselves.

I bought this set to replace another manufacturer’s set that was supposed to be “the greatest thing since sliced bread”. Well the other set wouldn’t even slice bread without ripping it. This Kitchen Aid set is amazing! Stays sharp and cuts evenly and does not tear the meats or the breads. For the price, it comes with every knife a chef could use in a professional kitchen but for home use. The only problem I have with this set is the balance and weight of the knives. The soduku knife could use a little more heft and be better balanced in the hand to prevent it from twisting.
