Kitchen Aid’s KMT2116ER 2-slice toaster, in empire red, features simple, programmable, start-to-finish toasting. The extra-wide slots will accept the thickest bagels, breads, or pastries and the extra-deep, steel toasting cavity ensures even browning. The racks automatically adjust the slot width for thick or thin slices, keeping food upright for even toasting. Selecting the bagel toasting function reduces the power on one side of the heating elements by 50% to produce a better toasted bagel. With the defrost button, frozen pastries can be toasted to perfection in minutes. The keep warm mode keeps bread warm for up to 3 minutes after toasting. The peek and see function allows you to check on your food without stopping the toasting process. When your food is ready, the high lift lever makes it easy to get it out of the toaster. The reheat setting quickly reheats toasted food in under a minute. Plus, the adjustable 7-shade setting ensures your food will pop up just the way you like it.

I bought this over a month ago and am very pleased with how it works and that it’s the nicest looking toaster I’ve ever owned. It is consistent with everything I toast, but be sure to use less time with dryer breads. It is very easy to burn dryer bread types so use setting 2 versus 4 accordingly. Pay attention and make some mental notes with your favorite breads.

Was a liitle apprehensive after reading some ratings but I have other KitcheAid small appliances and decided to try. I love the features for me. Easy to keep clean with tweens in the house.

Bought it very recently. Toast has round light spots and sides of bread toast differently. Very attractive toaster with good features.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I did some comparison shopping and decided to get the Kitchen Aid. It was a bit more expensive but worth. It looks fantastic as well as working perfectly especially the keep warm feature.

Wanted a small toaster because I was using my toaster oven needlessly. This is so much more convenient and efficient.

Best moderate priced toaster we’ve ever owned. Think is was $70 and it works perfectly on all sorts of breads. Haven’t used all features yet, never had one like the Kitchen-Aid that had so many for such a great price.

Recently we bought this toaster after returning Cuisinart brand just a month ago. Cuisinart is not a bad brand but the toaster we bought just doesn’t function the way they should. I saw this beautiful red Kitchen Aid toaster and so far so good.

so far so good – just wanted a reliable toaster that wouldn’t break down after a few months – like in the old days. this one is heavy, solid, reliable and minimal bells and whistles – so far feels like a long-term keeper – like the one grandma has had for for 40 years! hoping for at least 10 years cause you know – nothing’s made like it used to be…

This has been in my home for a few weeks, we have toasted everything from regular sliced bread, to Bagels, to English muffins. It has worked wonderfully in all cases. The Bagel feature is probably my favorite. We purchased the silver one, which matches are KitchenAid mixer perfectly. It is lightweight yet feels very well made.

My daughter down south in CA. has a 4 slicer toaster, but for me 2 is enough. I liked hers so I told her to get me one.

I got this toaster for Christmas from my daughter to replace my old KitchenAid toaster. This one is smaller and does a great job. Like hearing the beep in case I’m not close by when the toast pops up.

This toaster has a crumb tray for easy cleaning, it has an easy to use dial for adjusting settings, and it has wide slots for different types of bread. The pull level is also easy to use. It works beautifully, and the color matches other appliances too.

Even toasting and sleek design fits the bill. Like that it has a bagel setting. Wide enough to accommodate as well. What I like the most is that the controls are placed on the wider part of toaster versus side.
