When the time came to get a new Kitchen Aid Mixer I was concerned that the quality of the SS bowl would not be as good as my 25 year old 5 Qt. bowl as it seems like everything that is stainless steel today is flimsy, poor quality. I was shocked to find that the bowl of my new mixer was even better quality than my old ones. I needed extra bowls and Home Depot had the best price I could find. I was happy to find that the bowls were the very same quality as the bowl that was supplied with the mixer.
