I have had the mixer for a few months now and am satisfied with the product. The biggest thing for me to get accustom to is the idea that the bowl does not move. My previous mixer moved the bowl rather than the mixing attachments. Also the bowl is a little hard to take off and put on.

I will never own anything other than a KitchenAid stand mixer. I replaced my 30-year old 4-Qt stand mixer with a beautiful new Red 6-Qt. I blew the motor on the old one but I got it fixed/refurbed and handed it down to my daughter (lucky girl). The dough hook does a great job of kneading, especially for large bread loaves. The only downside to this Lift type mixer is the awkward position of the bowl and the crank end when removing the dough hook, apart from that this is the best machine we have purchased and used. It is built well and the materials are top quality.
