I purchased this slow cooker about two years ago and up until recently it was great! Just this past weekend the digital timer went haywire – could not be set past three hours and then would not count down the hours – only the minutes. Example: 2 hours 59 minutes – after the 59 minutes expired it started the minutes over again and the hour did not decrease. Very annoying. I tried to get info from customer service. The representative was dismissive and not very helpful.

My old brand broke … so I researched Americas Test Kitchen, best rated crock pot. This is the one recommended … I ordered it a Thursday afternoon, had it Friday morning! The crock is heavy compared to my “other brand” one that broke. I LOVE the control panel, and it cooks amazingly even! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

I bought this to replace my All Clad slow cooker. The biggest difference between them was the Kitchen Aid’s ability to hold a lower slow cooking tempertaure and not cause the food to boil. The temperature cooks evenly thru-out the ceramic container. The only small issue I have is that the lid does not fit tightly. There is 1/8″ space all the way around the lid and if you push it too far in any one direction I am assuming heat will escape. Needless to say I kept the cover evenly spaced and the unit performed admirably.

We replaced our small, ancient Crock Pot with this 6-QT slow cooker from KitchenAid. The first dish I made is Pakistani Chicken Pilau, a spicy dish with chicken and rice. It turned out fabulous! Everything was evenly cooked to perfection and all the ingredients fit in the pot (my old one was too small for this dish). The controls are intuitive making it very easy to use. I love my new KitchenAid Slow Cooker!

A gift from my son who knew my old slow cooker burned my food in 4 hours. Thisis awesome a true slow dependable cooker, for ribs, chicken, roast, soup toss innoodles in 30 minutes soup. It keeps food hot for after work, deserts, love it!

This works so much better than my old “standard” slow cooker. The insert is much heavier, allowing even cooking. The control panel on the front is amazingly easy to use. And, I know it’s a little thing, but I really like that the cord is stored on the bottom of the unit, rather than having it flop around when you put it away after using it. The only thing I wish it did differently would be to maintain its settings during a power flicker. Instead it just turns the power off. Not a problem if you are home, but potentially a problem if you are away.

I have used this Appliance twice and it works beautifully. The temperature keep food safe not just incubating like my very old previous slow cooker that I recycled. Love that it is so easy to use.

This slow cooker is the best slow cooker I have ever used. The Kitchen Aid Slow Cooker is better than any I owned previously. I love the results! Pros: 1) The addition of a ‘Medium’ heat setting 2) the clear and simple Setting process 3) the perfect pot size and overall design allowing the pot to be removed from the base easily and quickly. I love this cooker, but it could be even better… 4) The 4 Hour Warming automatic cycle. It’s wonderful.Cons: 1)Air escapes around the lid. Bubbles escape. I believe this makes the total cook time longer. 2) I ordered the silicone-like lid gasket. I could not get the thing on the lid. I called Customer Service. The CS Rep.explained if you soak it in very hot water for about 10 min. it’s easier to fit on the lid. I did that, and still could not get it on the lid…I eventually just laid it around the lid and tried to gently press lid+ gasket down to seal lid to ceramic pot. As soon as pressure was applied, the gasket flipped off. The gasket is too hard and unreliable for an average user. 3) This slow cooker is just that: S-L-O-W. Very, very, slow. I wonder if the amount of cooking time could be reduced by up to couple of hours if the lid sealed to the ceramic pot? My average beef or pork cooking time (to tender) is running at 10-12 hours.Bottom Line: Fix the lid/pot sealing issue and I’ll be happy to change this review to 5 Stars.
