I really love this slow cooker. This brand is wonderful, but I will say there is a learning curve to this slow cooker. I have noticed that I have to cook things like beans and lentils a little longer. I am not sure if this is because there is no seal on the lid, or because my previous crockpot cooked on way to high of a heat setting. I actually prefer there not being a seal on the lid… Something about heating up plastic over my food just doesn’t jive with me. Don’t let the absence of a seal deter you from this buy! This slow cooker cooks the way a slow cooker should, and I have noticed that meats are coming out much better with it! Very pleased with this purchase.

I’m sooo happy I got this slow cooker. It’s a cooker that lets me set the meal before going to work and when I get home 8-9 hours later it’s perfect! Not overdone, just perfect. Most of the slow cookers being sold today are not true slow cookers. The recipes that used to take 8-10 hours on slow are done in 5 hours, so I had to stop making the pot roast and other favorite recipes. You will be able to use this crockpot as you always wished you could again. You will enjoy setting it up, going to work and coming home to a finished meal!!!

Not hot spots and everything seems to cook at the same time. That is most important. The appearance of the slow cooker is also nice, but not that important.

I can’t express how grateful I am for this little handy kitchen helper. It is a true slow cooker. I’ve overdone more roasts and chicken through the years since others have changed how they are made. This was reviewed by America’s Test Kitchen and I went searching. I bought one for my daughter too for Christmas and she loves hers as well. I wish they also made a smaller version since it’s just my husband and I at home now.

I just got the slow cooker for my birthday and I thought the perfect test to really see how well it works was to cook chicken breast. The chicken came out to perfection it was juicy and falling apart as you can see in the picture. I was able to fit 4 full sized breast so I had some leftovers. It got me wondering if the ceramic dish can also be used for storing any leftovers in the refrigerator. I love the kitchenaid slow cooker every star well earn and im happy to share my review. Its beautiful on my counter top. Its kinda big but so worth the space it takes up. Its easy to program and you’ll know its on and working because it’ll start to count down. The outside does get hot even on low. Im just left with that one question. Can the ceramic dish be used for storing any leftovers in the refrigerator?
