I just purchased my first KitchenAid stand mixer. When I unpacked the box, I was amazed that, after spending a lot of money on this mixer, that the wire whip was an oxidized aluminum, ugly attachment that I wouldn’t want to touch my food. Even after I washed it, it was very shabby and discolored. My question to KitchenAid is why did you cheap out on this attachment? This should be shiny stainless steel that you are not afraid to put in your food.

I owned a white classic Kitchen Aid stand mixer for over 30 years. My husband surprised me with a brand new bright red Artisan Kitchen Aid stand mixer for Christmas. I was so excited to open the box. I reused the box a day later for a gift for a family member. Was the recipient ever disappointed to realize it wasn’t a Kitchen Aid! I love the quiet hum as I make cookie or bread dough.
