I am happy that I bought this, but I do have a couple of complaints. First, it is incredibly heavy, so I am forced to leave it on my counter. Thankfully, it is very pretty — I got the pistachio color. Secondly, there is a bump on the bottom of the bowl that seems to prevent the very bottom ingredients from being mixed in, especially when the quantities are small. As a result, I tend to use my hand mixer if it’s a small quantity. So bottom line, it’s not as fantastic as I thought it would be, but I do like it.

This mixer was a long hoped-for gift. It’s fantastic and works amazingly well! Cookies, bread, dough are a breeze. I especially appreciate the tilt-head and the weight of the unit – it feels like it will stay put no matter how fast it’s mixing. I can’t wait to get some more attachments to try.

This was a gift from my husband who’s been wanting me to own one as I love baking… He’s always “my muscles” whenever I bake and I guess he just got tired and wanted kitchenaid to do it instead… kidding! I think, he just wanted me to own one as not only baking that I love but also cooking.. and with kitchenaid having endless options to make your cooking and baking smooth and easy, he insisted and just surprised me with one on Christmas day! This was really hard to find, I guess stores are running out because due to pandemic a lot of people are into home cooked and baked food… He almost gave up but luck was still on his side that he found me this! This is the best gift ever! I already made a list on attachments that I would need…

I had always heard so much about the Kitchenaid mixer that when I got one for Christmas I was ecstatic. I made bread for the first time ever using the hook and it worked great. The machine forever seemed…loose. I mean it rattled more than of thought it should. Maybe I was expecting to much, but when I watch all the how-to videos the machines they use seems a lot quieter.

As excited as I was to receive the 5 quart mixer, it did not work in any outlet when I plugged it in. I was so disappointed because I love and trust all my Kitchen Aid mixers. (I have owned only two with life spans of almost 50 years!.) I bake with a group of ladies and we mail homemade treats to deployed service men and my old Kitchen Aid mixer has made laboring sounds when I mix up batches of biscotti and other cookies. My rating below is based on my first two mixers, not this one that has been returned for credit.

After years of thinking I didn’t REALLY need a new mixer, I broke down and purchased one for our home for Christmas! I’ve been using my wedding present hand mixer since I received that 25 years ago but decided to try out the KitchenAid. Love the colors, love the power. I’ve only used it once so far and love it! My only complaint is that the bowl feels very small for multiple batches and the mixers do not mix the sides of the bowl. I know I will have to eventually buy the separate scraper attachment because this will drive me crazy. I feel it should have come with it already. Definitely looking forward to the multitude of attachments to experiment with!
