While I am loving having a stand mixer and it has worked well for my cooking projects, it does slightly worry me that the mixer moves across the counter some when I’m making bread dough. Brioche requires a longer time in the mixer to fully develop and incorporate all of the butter. So, the mixer gets hot after 20 minutes or so to accomplish this. Sometimes the speed will inch up or down too, though this might be because of the weight of the dough? Again, it’s hanging with me and handling what I throw at it.

I am happy that I bought this, but I do have a couple of complaints. First, it is incredibly heavy, so I am forced to leave it on my counter. Thankfully, it is very pretty — I got the pistachio color. Secondly, there is a bump on the bottom of the bowl that seems to prevent the very bottom ingredients from being mixed in, especially when the quantities are small. As a result, I tend to use my hand mixer if it’s a small quantity. So bottom line, it’s not as fantastic as I thought it would be, but I do like it.
