This is the first KitchenAid product I purchased for myself. I wish I had bought one when my kids were little because it would have freed up my hands and saved a lot of my time. This machine is fun. The first cookie dough I made was shortbread and in no time it was mixed and fluffy as though I had done it by hand. In the past I had used a food processor to whip my shortbread but had to be careful how long it was mixed because the motor would heat the dough and begin to liquify the butter. This heritage blue mixer is so vintage it goes with my farmhouse kitchen cabinets
