i received this bowl from Kitchen Aid to use with my stand mixer and review. First of all I love the look. It’s much prettier than a plain old glass mixing bowl. But it has all the features of the glass bowl mixus the measure marks which I never use anyway. The first weekend I had this bowl I used if for 8 loaves of zucchini bread. Looking forward to using for many baking adventures this fall.

I do like the lightness of this bowl. It did take some time to get use to the pour spout on the bowl when attaching to the base. I like the design of the ceramic to be be able to put in oven. I like the looks of the bowl as well.

This bowl is as pretty to look at, as it is useful. It works very well with my stand mixer. The shape, with the comfortable handle, make it ideal for pouring out ingredients, such as pancake or cake batter. Cleaning is a breeze. In addition, I was short a serving bowl when I had company and found this both pretty and utilitarian. I wouldn’t have used a different mixing bowl for serving. This is a great choice for all.

The first thing I noticed is that it is heavy. I realize it is made from porcelain and would naturally be heavier than a stainless steel bowl but for someone who is older or may have issues with hands it could be a problem especially when filled with batter. The bowl fit nicely on my mixer and is nice looking. Would recommend it for a younger person.

Received this from my daughter as a birthday gift last week, to go with my Empire Red mixer. I LOVE this bowl. Looks striking with the Empire Red. But….she didn’t realize I have a bowl lift model, so they don’t work together. Even so, it’s amazing as a stand-alone mixing bowl, and is perfectly sized to use with my KA hand mixer when I have multiple things going, and the stand mixer is in use for something else, or I just want to whip up something quickly. The spout is perfect for pouring – much easier than pouring from the steel bowls for my stand mixer, so this will be my go-to bowl w/the hand mixer when making pancake & waffle batter. Easy to pour from the bowl right onto the griddle/iron, no need to dirty a big ladle or spoon now. And, it looks gorgeous sitting on an open shelf in my kitchen, with my red ceramic bakeware, too. Please, KA, consider making one of these to fit my KSM6573 Narrow Lift 6 qt. Professional 6000 HD. Or developing some kind of shell I can put over my steel bowls, so they look as pretty as this one.
