The unique spiral design of the coated PowerKnead dough hook replicates hand-kneading with a powerful force that kneads 25% more yeast bread dough than previous models. The 6-wire whip incorporates the maximum amount of air in whipped mixtures for fluffier whipped cream and angel food cakes. We got this mixer as a wedding gift 3 years ago and have loved it! We’ve used it for probably a thousand cookies and many other baked goodies. The only bummer has been that recently the side of the glass bowl chipped off about an inch or so and put a large crack down the side. I can’t find a replacement bowl anywhere. Seems like everyone else is having the same problem. It’s been great, and we’ve loved it, but now it is just sitting there while I mix cookies by hand.

I purchased my mixer dreaming of making cookies for the rest of my life with this beautiful mixer. But I was attempting to adjust the bowl and a huge piece broke off the lip. I attempted to replace with a six quart metal bowl from kitchenaide but it really does not fit properly. After reading all the comments here, I am not alone. There really needs to be a replacement bowl for this series or should a glass bowl never been associated with this professional series unit. Kitchenaide please help here.

After reading through reviews I now know I am not alone. I had an almost identical situation as another reviewer. The side of my bowl cracked and broke off about three inches as well because the beater tapped it. I’m guessing this is common? Nonetheless, I’ve been on a desert pet search to find a replacement bowl and have been unsuccessful. I’ve even tried to use other replacement bowls just to see if I could get lucky but no. It seems like they aren’t going to be restocking. At this point I’m truly disappointed because this was such a good mixer I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT and now I can’t even use it. Ugh.

I’ve had my mixer for years and I’ve loved it. But recently large pieces fell off the side after lifting the bowl top mix. I’ve looked everywhere for a replacement, with no luck at all. This seems to be a common issue with a lot of people. I’ve missed using my mixer as it’s one of the most used items in my kitchen. I would love to hopefully find a solution to the lack of replacement bowl.

I’ve had my stand mixer for a few years and I’m now in search of my 3rd replacement glass bowl! The first time it broke I was making cookies and tapped a utensil on the side of it – not too hard- and I didn’t expect it to crack and break like it did. Today I pulled my mixer out of the closet- I keep it on a utility roll cart- and it is severely broken and cracked. Who knows what happened to it! It was fine when I used it a few weeks ago. As others have mentioned, it is disappointing how easily it breaks for it to be so large and heavy. I’ll likely purchase a stainless bowl to use until the glass is available again.

My mom really wanted me to learn how to bake. She practically forced me to learn on her kitchen aid. I’ve been baking every since, that is until my glass bowl broke and a replacement cannot be found. I am so disappointed and heart broken since this mixer has sentimental value because the purchase was inspired my mom who passed away this time last year. How can you make anything glass and not carry a replacement. I’m disappointed kitchen aid.

I’ve had my glass bowl for about a year. I use it all the time. I was washing it and it slipped barely hit my sink and now has a big crack down the side. This sucks because I loved this bowl so much more then my stainless. You would think for something that heavy it wouldn’t break so easily.

I received this as a gift on Christmas 2017. It was an upgrade from my previous versions (which I still use). I use it to bake all the time, IT IS AMAZING!!!! How can I even use this expensive mixer with no bowl? My family has always lived for kitchenaid, but this replacement issue truly has us upset.

I absolutely love this mixer. However, the bowl has cracked and I can’t find a replacement bowl. I only wash the bowl by hand, store it out of the way so nothing can damage it, and it just cracked on the lip of the bowl while washing. Now, I’m unable to use this mixer which is very upsetting!

This has been my primary mixer for years and I have only had glowing things to say. So easy to use, it is truly one of my most treasured kitchen appliances (and I’m a homeschooling mom of 4 – eating is 80% of what we do!). As others have experienced, my bowl recently chipped and can no longer be used. KitchenAid: how can you possibly sell this device without making suitable replacement parts available at a reasonable price?! Do the right thing and allow your customers to get what they need.
