As many have noted, this tool is great but the design of the plastic sleeve around the roller will eventually crack. We have 5 noticeable cracks with one crack that has pulled apart causing the plastic to dig into the dough as it is rolled. The crack begins to dig into the pasta when the roller is dialed in at “3”. Beyond a 3 the roller becomes useless as the crack cuts into to dough.

I love the pasta roller and we use it a lot in our house. Unfortunately the last time I used it the shaft that rolls the rollers broke off. It looks like an easy fix as long as I can get the part. I’ve seen someone else have the same exact problem and I used their picture below.
