I didn’t think my mixer could be any better than it already was until I got this attachment. I love everything about it. Being hand free essentially when adding dry good into the mixer is amazing. My baked good are so much better now. The fact that it sifts the flour while adding it to the mix is genius. The scale is also an added bonus. I love the Sifter & Scale to use with my Kitchen Aid mixer. It is easy to assemble, install, and use. As a baker, the best part is it takes care of a task I don’t like to take time for — sifting — and it makes it easy. I look forward to much smoother ganaches, icings, and everything else for which sifted ingredients will improve textures. A side bonus — the packaging can be repurposed into a great gift box (just affix some wrapping paper to it)!

I had my doubts… my husband bought this and I was not real sure I ever wanted it. But now…. well, now I see how fantastic this really is. It is actually two attachments in one. It is a scale and a sifter. It will weight food and weigh and sift. Everything I have made has turned out fantastic.

The scale is nice but overall the attachment is clunky and awkward. When trying to use the sift function it clogged multiple times. I think this was due to the flour being cool vs. room temperature but created a mess regardless.

I often premix waffle mix with the cup and store it in the fridge overnight.The bottom lid sealed well enough that it won’t leak any liquid. It a great tool for my waffle and baking project. I would recommend adding measuring mark in the cup for convenience too.

I tried the Kitchen Aid Sifter and Scale attachment with trepidation. I had always heard that sifting was best for baking. But let’s face it, I was too lazy to add that step. I can’t believe the change in the quality of my baked goods by simply weighing and sifting the ingredients. I am sold. I love to bake and this attachment makes me love it even more. It is easy to install and operate. The scale lets you know exactly how much of each ingredient to add. I’m loving the light fluffy results I am getting from the sifter. The chute on the sifter can be adjusted to fit the different types of Kitchen Aid mixers. The scale can also be used on it’s own as a kitchen scale. Included in the instructions is a chart of how much each unit of measure should weigh. I would recommend this to everyone with a Kitchen Aid mixer who loves baking.

This sifter and scale has had a great impact on my baking. I typically only bake cookies but after using this scale you better believe I will be making cakes more often. After using the sifter to make the most delicious cupcakes. I was surprised on how easy clean up was after. I usually make a mess in the kitchen when baking cakes but not this time. I was able to use the sifter for all the dry materials and because of the extending tray every bit of that material went straight into the bowl and not onto the counter. I did make a little mess when I didn’t realize you could make it longer but once I realized that everything went smoothly.

If you enjoy baking as my wife does this attachment is a must-have addition for your mixer. My wife bakes large quantities of cookies, breads and cakes throughout the year. The attachment makes sifting and adding to the bowl so much easier and without all the mess. I immediately noticed the difference in the texture of the cake. It was lighter and fluffier than before. The scale would be useful for some but she didn’t find it necessary as she measures by cup versus weight. Could be useful for others though.There are a lot of components. Cleaning was easy but a bit tedious. She will most likely use the attachment for large scale baking versus one time batch making. 4 cup capacity was sufficient for her mixer but could be increased for larger mixers. Instructions are clear and concise. She assembled without my input with no complaints. Quality is excellent as with all Kitchenaid products.
