I just live this!!! I bake a lot of cookies and this works great. If cookies have 3 cups of flour tho the sifter doesn’t work. At least for me. Smaller quantities work super. Great product.

Brilliant. The concept of a weight scale and a sifter in one box was amazing. I prefer to cook rather than bake, but this streamlines the baking process so much. Overall the sift and scale work great. However, I do have a couple improvements that would make it a 5 star attachment. First, a larger reservoir to hold flour. And second, the softer should operate a bit faster. I do like the reduced mess when using this attachment though!

Great unit attacment, just make sure you give it a good shake to release flour that didn’t get released, if your are critical about your measurments. Overall this is a great unit and something I never thought I would even think about till I realzed how critical proper dry weight measurements are to baking.

I had the bad habit of having a heavy hand when it came to measuring flour and many of my cookies came out so dry ,and to be able to sift all the dry ing. together and have them slide down the shoot is the greatest invention since sliced bread. thank you for this great and oh so useful attachment

This is easily the best mixer attachment we have received. It is so simple to measure/weigh your flour and then have it sift itself into the bowl.While our large stand mixer does not get used frequently, when it does around holidays, it really works and this product is so simple to setup and use. Clean-up is easy as some of the parts are top-rack dishwasher safe. Read carefully so you do not mistakenly put an incorrect item in there to wash.Come the holidays this will come in very handy..

My husband gave this to me for Christmas and I used it too soft confectioners sugar for icing. It measured and sifted the right amount which yielded fluffy icing for my Christmas cake. The chute is adjustable from side to side and expandable to ensure the sugar or flour makes into the bowl. Just don’t use it on the higher speeds as you will end up with a dust cloud. Slower speeds work fantastic. I can’t wait to see what I get for my birthday in 4 days. I’m sure it’s a Kitchenaid product- my best friend in the kitchen.

I’ve had the sifter/scale attachment for almost a year now and LOVE IT! i make many, many batches of pizza dough each month (up to 14 batches in a day). Using the sifter/scale attachment has helped a ton with my accuracy and streamlines my process. i can work on other part of dough making while it’s sifting and adding flour to the bowl. I love the scale by it’s self too!

Purchased from a well-known retailer, I was excited to use this attachment. I wanted to make the job of sifting easier and more efficient. However, I found that the process of sifting flour into the mixing bowl to be a very messy process… even with the hopper lid in place! Fine flour dust escaped into the air while traveling down the chute into the bowl, covering all of my surrounding black appliances! No time was saved, and even more was used to clean everything up! I did note that the mesh is weave is quite wide, so this will not be preferable for some recipes that require a double-meshed sift. I’ll try it again, but I don’t see how this flour dust storm can be avoided, even with adjusting the flow valve. I didn’t think I’d need to wear my face mask while baking.

The packaging alone, brought excitement to the house as we unboxed the Kitchen Aid Sifter + Scale Attachment. Many of the concerns we had about the attachment initially had already been addressed. Simple features such as the slide to ensure that flour makes it into the bowl were greatly appreciated. The sifter capacity is almost too small for some of my larger recipes that call for three pounds of flour, but it works if you genteelly place the lid on the sifter once full. This attachment may not accommodate larger or double recipes. The height of the attachment did pose a slight issues for me, once the attachment is on the mixer the height makes it hard for a fun sized individual like myself to add flour, the simple fix is for me to detach the sifter and scale to fill with flour and then reattach the sifter.The only true draw back of the product is though dishwasher safe it is very hard ensure all the flour has been removed.

I was pleasantly surprised how solid this attachment is. The parts fit together tightly while also moving smoothly. The whole thing comes apart for easy cleaning and fits back together intuitively. The scale is simple and easy to read. I also like that the spout for sifted flour can be rotated to dispense in a separate bowl.
