Klien tools are absolutely the best. In my opinion. But these were not working well for me. They were just the wrong tool for the job. The tool itself performed OK but it didn’t seem To be as well made as the other Klien pliers. That’s why I returned it Wasn’t what I was expecting.

This is a nicely made tool, but at least my copy of it is a little iffy when trying to strip very fine stranded wire. On 28 and 30 gauge stranded wire, especially with soft insulation, the two jaws have just a little bit too much slop to cleanly cut the insulation. Anything 24 gauge and bigger worked great. All in all it is a good tool, but I’d look elsewhere if you are primarily working with very fine wire all the time.

Excellent tool. I would not expect less coming from Klein. Handles the smaller gauge wire handily.

Great wire stripper for smaller gauge wires. With my other Klein Tools wire stripper, yellow and blue handle, I can strip almost all wires.

I was looking for a wire stripper that would work for smaller gauge wires (28-30) and hesitated at first because i don’t do a lot of wire stripping, but after using it, I now know why. I did not have this, and instead had some other cheap product. The ratcheting is smooth, the effort needed to squeeze to strip is really easy so if you had to do a lot of wire stripping, your hand won’t get tired using this because the handle is soft, and the mechanism is made so you don’t put a whole lot of effort in to using it. One of my favorite tools because it just plain works;
