Perfect for what I needed (stripping 26-30AWG wire). I have used an identical tool for years, and the 30 Gauge hole is finally wallowing out enough to partially strip insulation, or damage wires. For me, I prefer a tool with fixed wire sizes, rather than those cheaper adjustable ones.

Easy. Sharp enough, little effort to cut the jacket and easy glide strip. Used on solid and stranded.

These are hard to find without ordering. 3 Home Depots showed them to be in stock only to find out they were mislabled since they look just like the strippers for larger wire. Finally found them in the next county in stock. I needed something for very small Kynar wire. Usually burning the insulation away with a soldering iron works for this type of wire, but because it is 30 AWG, the process was too difficult to control. These strippers worked well. The Ideal brand and some Chinese junk sold online do not work well at all and cut the wire or severely nick it. They live up to the Klein name – US Made quality!!

These are the best strippers made and the only one we use

Excellent product! Very hard to find a tool that handles the wire gauges this tool was made to handle. It works well and is very comfortable in hand. I highly recommend this tool.

So very grateful Klein makes these particular wire strippers. If you have to regularly deal with tiny and/or stranded wires, these are the only tool I have that works with them successfully. A must for that purpose!

Took me forever to replace my craftsmen strippers, that had dulled and lost their spring. Glad I finally did and wish I would have sooner!
