Klein Tools’ Katapult® Solid and Stranded Wire Stripper / Cutter has a built-in cutting hole to cleanly cut 8-20 AWG solid and 10-22 AWG stranded wire, while the stripping head allows you to easily grip and strip just by squeezing the handle. Made of cast alloy with a heavy-duty Ecoat finish for corrosion resistance and durability.

I had been using wire strippers I probably bought 20 years ago. I had some smaller stranded wire that these old cutters did not cut very well and it was a struggle. These were expensive compared to others that just cut but I like the idea of the tool actually removing the cut wire cover. These worked much better than I expected. Very easy to use and the wire stripped cleanly without breaking any of the strands. If you have a small stranded wire and don’t know the exact size, I suggest starting with larger setting and work down to one that cuts and strips cleanly.

This tool is excellently designed and made. It cuts and strips very cleanly and quickly. The ergonomic handles make it easy to hold and use. The cutting/stripping blades are extremely sharp and made of good, durable steel. The cutters are exposed so protect the tool. Should last a long time.
