This Klein Tools product is designed to expand their insulated flip blade screwdrivers. This kit includes three screwdriver blades which are insulated to 1000V. The first blade is #1 Phillips and 3/16 inch slotted. The second blade is #2 Phillips and 1/4 inch slotted. The third blade is #1 Square and #2 Square. The tips are machined very well and make good contact with corresponding fasteners. To confirm the insulation properties of the blades I used a multi-meter. Tip to tip the meter read conductivity. However Tip to any orange coated surface the meter read no conductivity which is what one would expect to see. This kit gives you the most common sizes you will use with electrical products and helps ensure your safety with the insulation properties.

I got the Klein 2-in-1 Insulated Flip-Blade Screwdriver as a replacement for the ones my wife used as a chisel and it works very well. However, it only comes with one blade with a Philips on one end and a flat blade on the other. I’m a tool freak and my tool bag reflects that. The last thing I needed was another complete screwdriver set to weigh me down, but I found that Klein has an expansion blade pack to complete the set. Rather than carrying a total of eight insulated screwdrivers, I can slip the Klein handle with blade and nest the extra three blades beside it, while taking up very little room. The extra shafts give you two more sizes each of both Philips and flat blades, as well as the two most common square drives.A simple twist of the ring on the screwdriver releases the double ended blade and allows you to just snap in another. I thought that Klein may have been re-inventing the wheel with the proprietary connection, but when you look at how the shaft is insulated from end to end, their design adds additional safety. Any unfortunate damage to the insulation (my wife) will still protect your hands. From the shaft, to the connection, to the handle, the tool is fully insulated. This set will only fit the Klein handle, but all together, I doubt you will need any additional screw drivers in your pouch. The screwdriver blades are thin, yet long, as not to get lost in the bottom of your bag. The handle and three additional blades barely take up more room than a single screwdriver. I’m sold!

The three pack of insulated, double end screwdriver blades from Klein Tools actually work. They say that they are rated for 1000 volts. Although I did not test them at 1000 volts. I did test them at 240 volts. And they worked perfectly. The narrow ends work great in tight places. If you purchase the 3 blade pack you must know that they will only work in a Klein screwdriver handle designed to except these blades. They come in Phillips, straight and square heads. Great working set of tools.

This three pack is a nice assortment of screw tips. They fit the insulated screwdrivers that Klein makes. These are 1000 volt tested. These bits have the orange coating down the the working tip the square tips fit well into the screws, the Phillips tips are the right size and the straight bits are also the fight size. These bits are a nice addition to the tool box.

I do a lot of electrical work, so I ordered these interchangeable blades, thinking they would work with my Klein brand multi-bit tool. I discovered that they do not. That’s disappointing and my star-rating reflects this. I will need to acquire a compatible Klein handle/head to give these a workout. However, they appear to be well-fabricated of quality steel materials, and their slender design would seem to enhance my ability to access fasteners located deep inside electric wall boxes. The three drivers, each have a separate head on both sides – square bits #1 and #2, phillips #1 and #2, slotted blade 3/16” and ¼”. A good assortment that should be easy to change on the fly. The packaging indicates that the product is safe to use in an electrical application only when paired with the Klein insulated handle (a separately purchased item).

I had never seen anything like these but they are the greatest little screwdriver set. If you have the handle piece to them they simply just lock in place and with a twist/click of the handle they come out. Its also great that they are insulated. They have great reach being longer than most screw drivers and the metal seems to be very strong. Tips are holding up well. Great product from a great company.

The Klein insulated screwdriver shanks are made to work in kleins new insulated flip screwdriver handle. These bits work great to add to the abilty of the Klein insulated screwdriver handle. The shanks lock into the handle very well and super secure. The ends are very well machined and fit the appropriate fastener securely. Over time they are going to expanding it to cover all the fasteners you may come across.
