They cut wire, cable and cordage including electrical communication 19 AWG and 23 AWG wire. The upper blade features wire stripping notches. The serrated lower blade allows for non-slip cutting action.

I’ve had these in my tool pouch since 1992. Getting 2 pair today to replace the ones I gave my new apprentices. Don’t tell Klein but I have used them to cut #6 ground wire many times. Normally used to cut and strip CAT5E and CAT6 data cable, RG-6 coax, and to prep and strip 14-2, 14-3, 12-2, and anything in between. They stay sharp for many years of daily use. Get you some!

This is a tool I use everyday. Coming to work with out my snips is the same as coming to work unprepared. I understand the tool gets dull, but my last pair the center screw just broke.
