Jab saws can rip or tear your tool bag. With Klein Tools Folding Jab Saw, there’s no need for taped-up, homemade sheaths or big holes in your tool pouch. The fast cutting carbon steel blade is as sturdy as a fixed blade saw, but folds smartly into the comfort-grip handle. The lockback mechanism secures the blade at a full 180-degrees and also at a 125-degrees for those hard to reach spots.

The different locking positions are cool and all but that’s not even the best part… It’s pretty heavy-duty so it’s super durable and got some weight to it which combined with the unique design on the teeth it cuts through like butter. Great tool and if I hadn’t got it for free it would have been purchased

I recently obtained a Klein Folding Jab Saw. The tool is intended to cut through drywall, wallboard, plywood and plastic during construction work. I actually wanted the tool for outdoor activities in a survival environment. I really liked the folding and storage for the blade. When stored in the closed position there is no fear of the blade poking a hole in a pack or damaging other gear in the pack. The easy access button on the back of the handle unlocks the blade with a simple push. The blade can be latched and locked in position at 125° and fully open at 180°. I plan to keep the saw in my ATV pack or in my day pack when hiking.The triple ground teeth and ability to cut in both directions should make a great tool in the woods. I plan on using the saw to cut small limbs for shelter building or cutting kindling. The tip of the saw blade should be great for boring small holes. I like the folded length of the tool and weight. The handle has a good feel and grip. I think the saw will work well for my intended purpose.

This is a perfect jab saw for the tool box. My previous one didnt fold and it was always a danger having it in a tool bag as the tips on these are very sharp. This jab saw opens straight out and at a 45. It cuts drywall very well and quickly and will also do wood. It snaps back closed very easily. The teeth cut going both directions. If you need a jab saw, go with folding.

It folds closed, so no more tears and snags. Tool bags are to expensive to have unnecessary holes in them. It is just as sturdy, if not more than my fixed blade saw and more comfortable to use. It also doesn’t take up the room in my bag that a fixed blade does. It locks in place with a reassuring “snap” at 125° and 180° so no worries on it closing while cutting. Speaking of cutting, it cuts on your push and pull stroke, with ease. You need one of these if you ever use a jab saw, even if it’s just occasionally. #kleincrusaders
