I is a great addition to any electricians kit. I will cut a heavier. but be VERY carefull. make sure u use a low speed and cutting. oil. I use the 1/4 20. mostly. wish i could by the taps individually. like greenlee.

This is a pretty wild concept, I was a little skeptical but sure enough they worked. They were sharp, cut threads perfectly the first time and saved me a bunch of time. A few things I learned in the process however. There are no instructions (at least that I found) so I would highly recommend you give a practice run first. Be ready to modulate your speed! Once the hole is drilled the threads are right behind and will tap in a hurry. This means the bit will thrust forward pretty quick followed soon after by the countersink. If you had thinner stock in a soft metal you could drill/tap and then countersink through half on your material in an instant. Your drill has the have a reverse setting to back the thread out. In other words, this is pretty much useless in a drill press. (or at least very very difficult to do) That being said if you’re needing to drill and tap holes in a hurry these will do a great job. Nice tool for those fringe projects!

The Klein Tools 8-Piece Drill Tap Tool Kit is a great addition to anyone’s collection. The case keeps everything together and the drill taps fit into a mounting piece which can rotate upwards for easy access when taking the taps out and putting them away. I have been using the 10/32 bit to drill and tap standard metal racks inside of rolling equipment cases. The cases are used to transport rack mountable electronic equipment. I am extremely satisfied with this set and would highly recommend this product.
