This is a wonderful nearly all purpose tool. Not only can it be used as a wrench but the tapered end also slips into a pipe so a ‘cheater’ can be easily used for any nuts that want to remain tight. It is also very handy for tightening wire fencing, a makeshift brace and can be used with other box end wrenches to be the cheater itself. The longer you have this tool, the more uses you will find for it.

If you work in the field as an iron worker, you will be familiar with this piece of tooling. This wrench is made of forged cast iron for strength & durability. It has a 17 inch length that will give you a good leverage to move those giant plates around so you can get the bolt holes lined up. It has a 1 1/8 inch open end wrench on one side & is 3/4 inch in diameter. Iron workers have a hard enough job and they relief heavily on their tools to make their jobs a little easier. This tool will give them the reliability they need.

I ordered these not being sure how I would use the wrench or the pin. I ran into some issues with steel roof joist aligning the decorative wood to the metal. When looking at how we would easily get the wood to straighten up a bit to ensure straight lines, it hit me that these tools were exactly what I needed to properly install the wood. I used the pin to start the alignment and then used the back of the wrench to align the next hole. Once I started the bolt, I pulled the wrench and was able to work the bolt effectively. After starting, I was able to continue moving quickly with the pin for alignment and the wrench to work further. The wrench has tremendous torque due to the length of the wrench.

I ordered the wrench to use in aligning the attachment holes for a heavy duty cowling. The finish is smooth enough to easily slide into place and the taper is gradual enough to make the persuasion of the cowling over the holes an easy task. The length is ideal providing plenty of leverage without being unwieldy. The wrench end is a bonus if I ever need an oversized wrench. I am sure I will find future uses of this tool for prying and persuading metal and wood.

When you need a spud wrench, pretty much nothing else will do. To top it off, you want a wrench that will withstand a lot while lining up steel beams and plates. This wrench will give you great control, and no worries about the strength, the alloy steel will carry the load with ease. While the weight feels a bit heavy, at least more than a couple of pounds, still it is a great addition to your steel working tools.

what a solid wrench. this tool has mass. really built for serious work. with the extra long handle you have incredible leverage to loosen any nut. the long pointed handle is also handy for a multitude of purposes. it has raised lettering and also engraved/stamped lettering on the tool itself. one of the warnings states that you are not supposed to hammer the wrench. also, you are not supposed to lengthen the handle (with a pipe), but i’m guessing that this tool would stand up to any kind of abuse. another real solid tool from Klein Tools that should last a lifetime.

I like this wrench because I need this once and while at work. I was working on a movie set and I needed to get into a section of the light and this wrench came in clutch. It has a good weight and the quality is really good. I recommend this product. I had to wrench down a part of my guitar stands and this came in handy again. I like that i was able to carry it with me everywhere.

If you have ever tried to align a bolt hole on a heavy piece of steel or wood, you can immediately appreciate the simple elegance of this tool. The pointed handle end makes short work of aligning those holes while preventing you from doing something stupid like using your finger. It is also quite useful as a pry bar, working ropes in a knot loose, as well as a ton of other uses. This can be used as a daily use tool. This Klein model is of excellent quality and should last you a lifetime with minimal care.
